Panerai PAm 979/Pam 961

First of all, I want to thank you all for all you useful support and this awesome forum.
Straight to the topic, I've tried to look up in old topics with no results, but, maybe, I wasn't able to perform a good search.
I'm interested in Panerai as Italian Navy fan, so it's a natural choice.
I followed advices from this forum and I've been addressed to the famous Toro Bravo. I'd like to get 979 or 961 model (the first worths more cause it comes with free leather strap and much more wearable) but I've found no reviews.
Would some of you guys, be so kind to help me?

Everywhere there are disadvantages, and primarily related to the color of the lume and the texture of the dial. I would prefer pam961 simply for its color and beautiful caseback. But your preference will remain yours.

Oh yeah, I forgot, if that matters to you, check out the RP and GEN circulation. There will be a significant difference between the two. And here's another link to PAM961 from the forum, where there are some photos and facts:

Had both, both nice, 979 better IMHO, the 961 is hard to strap up unless you get the Gen rubber or try it on a nice Canvas..
979 works with most strap colours due to is base colours of Black and White.. I sold mine, which I regret, I'll most likely get another one later this year..

I confirm for the 961. Little bit hard to find the right strap.

I wear it on a taylor made mat black shark leather strap form Sengia and i really like this beauty.
