Hi All,

Just received my 682 today and wanted to share my impressions.

I used to own the Pam 243 (44mm sub) which I really enjoyed. However, I have a small 6.5" wrist and have been been gravitating towards smaller case sizes. I feel that 39-42mm is really my sweet spot and so I ended up selling the 243.

Fast forward to SIHH 2017 and OP's announcement of the 682 submersible. Seeing the smaller 42mm case size got me really excited about owning a Pam sub again and I'm always a sucker for an exhibition case back. I couldn't wait to see what the rep factories would come up with.

Enter the XF Factory 682 replica. After a shockingly short period of time after the initial announcement at SIHH we have a really nice rep. I was hoping for a noticeably smaller wrist presence compared to the 243 and we have exactly that. I think it's a great size for my 6.5" wrist. It's still chunky and substantial but it doesn't feel oversized the way the 243 did on my wrist.

It came with a nice rubber strap but I threw it on a distressed canvas for the photos:

Here are some comparison shots with my 44mm Pam 177.

According to my caliper measurements the 682 is 41.8mm in diameter (48.8mm with the crown guard), 16.6mm thick, and 51.6mm lug to lug.

When OP initially released photos of this model the lume was all one color. At some point they changed the photos to show a different colored pearl and minute hand. The factories must have started based on the initial photos since the V1 does not have the differently colored pearl and minute hand. I actually prefer how this looks but the factory has already created a V2 with correct lume.

[emoji1360] looks great on the wrist! I like these 42 mm watches with a bit. Still a tad thick, but that is Panerai's style.

You have some serious photographic skills and the watch looks superb. It fits your wrist perfectly! I think it will be great for my 7.1" wrist too, 243 was just a bit over the edge for my taste. Thanks for the review!

I'm really impressed with the details and finish quality of this piece, it feels and looks great in person.
The only thing I can really nitpick at so far is the rotor is a little noisy but it's not noticeable on the wrist.

Excellent review and pictures! This only increases the anticipation while I wait patiently for mine to arrive. Thanks? No seriously, thanks. It sounds like the factory did this one right. I tried the 47mm and 44mm divers, but they were a bit much for my taste (and wrist). When I read about this one I jumped right back on the Pam bandwagon. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Wear it well. Cheers!

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I definitely recommend this for any small wristed submersible fans out there!

I'd also like to give a shout to my favorite trusted dealer Sead (Supermirrors) for another great transaction. I really like how securely he packs his watches. I sent payment on 4/28, received QC photos 5/2, and received the watch in Los Angeles 5/8.

Can't wait to have it. Let's face it, unless you are The Rock 47mm sub are ridiculously big. This will entice a big big slice of the market pie

682 looks great, 42 mm case is suitable for smaller wrists and imo looks great on your pics.
Now, 682 is 1st on my wish list and possible next purchase.

A lot of members who normally wouldn't entertain a submersible are now thinking hard about this PAM. :)

I imagine this watch is going to be really popular but I don't think the 47mm subs are ridiculously big. They look great on the right sized wrists.......again this is my opinion only & unfortunately opinions are like arseholes.......we've all got one [emoji6]

I've only tried his Caitlin (not sure of the series as he's had 7) and Brutal Black. Very nice.
