So my packages arrived within days of each other and I’ve had a bit of a play around with some of the bits. Here they are in all their glory:

I have found a few niggles and have a few questions.

Firstly; the tube thread seems to have been stripped, it screws in and then keeps turning. I was planning to solder the tube in, I expect that this should solve the problem; is that a correct assumption?

Secondly the hour hand gear and washer seem to be missing - I should be able to get one from cousins, I don’t imagine it will cost much and probably not worth contacting David Sen to send one.

Lastly; the Nightwatch guy seems to have retired and closed his online shop. Where can one get the resin from in the UK?

Thanks in advance!

1. Yes, soldering the tube will solve the issue.
2. Cousins will be much faster than DSN. Ebay is another option but you'll have a hard time finding the correct washer 3. NW retired indeed, what a pity. I have no idea where you can get resin in UK

I’ve had some time to do a bit more tinkering with this one, unfortunately the movement holder does not fit - the internal diameter is too small. I’ve spent ages sanding it, but it’s still nowhere near the right size. Also, it doesn’t seem to have any space for the tabs to go

Is this expected or have I been sent the wrong dial holder?

I asked for the Unitas one

Movement holder is pressure fit, no need for tabs
