maybe someone can help me out here?

just picked up a 508 and everything looks great and functions well but I noticed the bezel sits off the case more than it should.

anyone seen this before?

anyone know how to correct the issue?

any worries of leaving it like that?
rotates fine and doesnt rattle

I'm no expert but it looks fine to me,
I would imagine they won't have the fit & finish of a gen & at the end of the day it's approx $300 replica
Maybe your looking to deep [emoji6]

Enjoy the watch bro,it's a beauty

Yours seems like it's sitting way high...doesn't seem right vs mine. No clue how to fix it though. Usually it pops off at some location and there is a check ball in a spring to maintain unidirectional rotation and clicks.

true, its only a rep but this is definitely not the norm for PAM divers, they are usually very flush, even on the reps [emoji6]

i agree, yours is definitely how it should be
i should not be able to see underneath the bezel

damnit... what to do???

Sell it to me cheap[emoji6]
If that's the case with it sitting high them can you not try & push it back & see if the friction fit clicks it back where it should be?
If not then maybe the only option would be to send it back but personally I'd have that as a very last resort pal

I would try pushing it down while spinning the bezel so it lowers gradually and you minimize the risk of cracking the ceramic bezel

Steve, quick question if you push down on the bezel does the gap disappear?

yes, its like its spring loaded.
if i push down evenly it will go down but as soon as I release it pops right back up
i thought about seeing if i could take it off and see if perhaps a washer or something wasnt in the way
the bezel action is awesome if its flush against the case; just a tad more snug if in its higher position

I wanted to get that model because i thought the matte finish and scratch resistant ceramic would be awesome, which it is.
now i am wondering if i should have went for a 305 or similar... mainly due to those having silver hands and being easier to read
the 508 with black hands against a black dial is not one of those quick glance sort of legible watches, especially with the vintage colored lume

i did try to rotate it this way and it still wont stay at the lower position, it simply makes for a smoother turn.

no, not yet

thx for asking though

might need to get a case knife and try to pop off and have a look

might even just be a design issue?

Fingers crossed you might be able to suss it,
Hopefully it might just need stripping down & reseating,
If the fit & finish is better on other members watches then it might be something simple, good luck m8

sadly, i muffed it up taking off the bezel
ceramic is so hard it chipped the crystal [emoji30]

bezel issue looks to be a design problem, not the watch itself

i did hear the original releases were better and later ones not so much

now what to do...
probably take a loss and sell as is which blows but i guess thats what i get for screwing with it

beautiful watch otherwise and the mvmt is really nicely done

Sorry that happened but i have a fix for you. Spend 15K and get a gen. Rock it and don't worry about it. You bought a 200 dollar watch and expect perfection like the genuine. macro shots are useless nobodies eyes are that good. seriously, don't worry about it. Cheers

point is... i wasnt told of the high bezel and i have had enough to know this is not the norm [emoji6]

It bothered the OP so and members pointed out that it wasn't a generally accepted condition (gap between the mid case and bezel) so he was wondering how to go about it, maybe even help those who are in the same boat by letting them know how to do it. Unfortunately in this case, he demonstrated how surprisingly harder the ceramic material on the rep is compared to the crystal so he showed the potential danger of DIY'ing this procedure. Let's cut him some slack.

F**king hell bro,I feel your pain
At least you gave it a go,I know it's not going to help how you feel but you couldn't have lived with that gap on the bezel,
Get rid of it & try to move on cos I get the feeling you won't wear it when it's damaged,
Maybe you can recoup some money by selling it,Im sure someone on here can fix it with a new crystal
