Personally, I like this better than the 2231. And they are finally bringing back all steel submersible.... and the white dial too... great

I guess maybe VS realized that the 47mm doesn't sell well as the 42mm lol

VS news release to actual release is around 1-2 weeks. But yeah. I mean they have the case for this from the 1055, a new white dial and set of hands is not difficult to manufacture.

I'm curious to see what it'll actually look like, my biggest concern is the lume, but VSF have always been good about this.

my biggest concern is the rotor noise. Still have 5 "old" VSF 42mm Submersibles and most of them have this issue (more or less)

Exactly the time frame I said earlier here. News to release is typically 1-2 weeks for VSF

They do discounts all the time, don't they? It doesn't hurt asking, they gave me the discount after their time window has closed. The strap didn't turn out so well, but I guess it was just my luck. Have you ever tried Mays Berlin? Much better quality..no contest.

last year, they were very thrifty with discounts on all straps. They only offered all the time 50% on straps which were on stock... so I just paid the full prize now. I know Mays as well, but I wanted a very special strap for the 2223.

42mm is a problem but imo the bigger problem is, that it is just too thick for this small diameter

approx 1mm should be the difference... Gen = 13,22mm, Rep = 14,5mm (according to a TDs website). But to my opinion we are at 14mm (not measured very accurate, can do this, when I am back at the office). I think VSF is not that bad with the thicknes.
