Where can I get something like this? I notice that you can buy custom straps but the straps cost as much (if not more) than the actual rep. No?

Thanks, crick. Yeah, that caught my eye and could imagine what it would look on my lady. I also saw the pic of Heidi Klum wearing the black dial which was also gorgeous. From the other forum(RWG) there was a member who show a pic of her fiance/wife with a nice black dial on a blue strap -- if you could get past looking at the 2 large milk shakes. :lol:

Has anybody attempted to see if this rep is H20 resistant? Say for instance, she washes her hand, will the rep fall apart??? hehe!

How accurate is this Marina Auto 40mm (7750 Movement) from King?? Is there any quality difference between white dial vs. black dial? If I get this one, I will get a blue strap. Not sure white or black dial.

king is good, but his response time is slow because of timezone and language barrier. The only difference between the whtie dial vs black dial is the Dial. as i mentioned before, the datefont is the giveaway, that's all, otherwise it's highly accurate. Are you planning on going to those Panerai get togethers? if not, then no worries.

I feel that the 40 mm pams that king, josh, andrew and Eddie lee offer are all ( or in the least feel ) the same :? maybe josh has a slight AR coating, but that's it.

as for the watch straps: you're paying for a genuine watch strap, hence the expensive price. Good leather, good material. 140 plus the RWI discount and it becomes a nice price for a good leather strap.

I had the unfortunate misgivings of trying on a reallll panerai, and their alligator strap spoiled me. the POS strap that comes with the pannie is not worth mentioning so i bought a gen strap that all the panerai afficianodos go for.

What is your significant's others preference? white dial or black dial? i see women wearing both white and black and they both look great. Your choice of a blue strap? Great choice. maybe buy that pink hi-quality afterwards

since youve been asking a lot about accuracy, one thing to note is the lume. if you get white dial, the lume markers are smaller, so less of a giveaway. the lume on both is only ok - would need to relume them and that's an extra service X-mas is coming! good luck with it all she'll love it!

make sure you tell her after she gets her watch "You look like heidi klum!"

ps: the asian auto 7750 is loud. when i hug my g/f, all she hears is the spinning rotor in my watch

i like em both too, but that blue strap on white looks really good. brightens up the watch some. is that a pic of a gen? must be! see? reps are hard to tell now a days

Dealers tell me that it's water resistant, good for showering/swimming - not good for diving... i wash dishes and i dont midn a splash or two but not swimming, and to be honest: a) they're not tested for water proofness, b) they're reps, c) i wouldn't take a leather strpa into the water

i think if you do a forum search, you'll find simliar answers.
