great thx I see that they all propose models that are 50 meters waterproof, I suppose I will have to live with that.

I don't understand the statement. There is only one model of the PAM968, or only one factory that makes it (VSF). What models are they recommending? Now if they're recommending testing the watch for water resistance at 50m, some TDs such as Puretime, include the service for free. But I would not recommend wearing that swimming even if that were the situation. I would first ask a local rep-friendly (or one that does not care it is a replica) waterproof your watch. After that, if he says it's water resistant up to 100m, then you can go swimming and snorkeling with it. If it's 50m it just means splash resistance and some swimming (but not snorkeling).

I took it to a local watch repair, it was $40. It passed without having to do anything. He said the difference between 10atm and the 30atm is based on the design of the watch, if the case is stiff enough not to flex and the crystal is thick enough then if it passes 10atmit should pass the 30atm test also.

The 30atm test needed different equipment and would hava been around $100.

There is a difference between a watch being rated to a certain depth and actually being tested to the depth.
I would have no problem scuba diving with it. A recreational diver can't go anywhere near 300ft deep.

Beautiful watch. Unfortunately 47mm is too large ... ;/

Gen is a 1500 series and not 1000 as Vsf version
