Since the readings differ, and the photo is on the scales from an unverified source, we are waiting for the first reviews of the owners with a photo on the scales, without a strap and screw rods.

I believe this alone will put an end to this confusion.

Bang, I just ordered one.
Even though some flaws are obviously showing, I'm looking forward to get this new release in hands.

I'll post all needed pictures and feedback on arrival of course, and other new owners are invited to do the same too.

Despite the obvious flaws still looks like an interesting release, very tempted to pull the trigger!

Here are my approved QC pictures if anyone is interested (not looking for feedback on this specific watch). Once in hand I'll confirm if titanium and initial impressions.

Such a pity regarding the case thickness and hands. Otherwise it's a beautiful watch and am sure to get one. Hopefully there will be V2.

If this is true, then the PAM779 HWF is titanium.

Of course, I appreciate weighing with a strap, especially not a standard one, but usually a titanium 44mm bettarini, depending on the model and factory, has a weight range of 70 to 90 g, if you count the weight of the head, without a strap, buckle, screw rods.

The steel in this case is usually in between 105 - 117 g.

I perfectly understand that everything depends on the weights, their error, etc., but within the limits of proportions, I would say that this watch is titanium, judging by the photo with a weight of 111 g, with a buckle and a strap.

Watch head weighs 85 grams

Quite a reasonable result, confirming, not from the seller's words, that the watch is titanium.
For comparison, the PAM562 V6F, which also has a 6497 + deco plate, but with a transparent caseback, weighs 87g. Thank you for your feedback, you helped to confirm this fact.

Just got my 779 from Nembo, and I thought a spontaneous feedback would help the brothas around here too. I'm far from expert so please specialists, feel free to chime in as necessary or ask for more pics.

All in all it's a nice watch, but I must confess I've always liked the stony/grainy feeling of the ceramic cases better when it comes to black watches.
The movement seem to work fine, winds smooth and settings lock in thight. Nothing wrong on that side.
The hands have a nice blue color, but definitely not the right size for that case, wrong and annoying choice here by HWF.
The caseback screws in/out surprisingly nicely, good threading job with a progressive and solid lock in the end.

The CG lever has a smooth and efficient move and the crown sits tight and firm once locked on. With the good CB lock I'm pretty sure this case can offer a good water resistance. DLC cases always give that toyish light material feeling to me, but this one looks actually pretty well built, relatively speaking.

The dial now. The indexes look good but are lightly convex, which seem not correct as KOT1917 explained earlier on the thread. The lume greenish on the hands and uneven with indexes, I have no idea if this should be normal on the gen but I doubt it.
The crystal has a bit too much AR to me, lightly blueish.

To finish, I must point a surprisingly soft and confortable leather strap, very decent compared to usual rep leather entry level bracelet.

Nice watch nonetheless, light, good presence and cool Cali dial, with a good looking strap "vintage style" combo.

Congratulations on your purchase, mrsullivan !

Thanks for the photo, and all your comments on the watch are on business.
Pleasantly surprised by your comments regarding the strap. Nevertheless, I see that you decided not to leave the "wristband"! :)

I wanted to clarify: the caseback for your sense of appearance and weight - titanium?
In general, judging by the total weight of the watch, this should be so, but even on good old high-quality rep, the thread on the titanium caseback usually does not twist very nicely, and the engravings have extra graininess, due to the specifics of the material processing, here I do not notice all this.

Yes, in addition, I want to note that the gen thickness should be 13.5 mm, which is formally not so far from your measurement, but as you can see, this is not only a matter of the thickness "from point to point" but also the general proportion of the case.

Anyway, congratulations, and thanks for sharing with us!

Speaking of the CB, it feels a bit heavy separated from the rest of the case but as I don't have a scale I can not be sure whever it's Ti or SS. It does have that grainy touch Ti has though.
Maybe it's the DLC coating on the case side that gives that smooth threading feel too.

Edit : by the way, selling the watch right now as a C+R, as more are incoming.

Here are more case and CG pics :
