Link bracelet mate. Ceramic have the same scratch resistance as sapphire, but when you apply enough force in one blow it will breaks.
It seems excessive to buy a new bracelet because of a link.
If you broke one of the replaceable, I have some, I shortened mine.

Just ordered a PAM438 from InTime today! My first 'high-end' rep after running my HBB RG with a quartz movement for 2 years lol. Very Excited for this though! Will post QC pics when I receive them.

I have just got mines since last Monday and this thing is incredible.

I am looking at it everytime, looks and feels great.

Because of that, the more I look it the more flaws I find, it is really curious, Despite of being one of my favorite reps I am wondering how is the KW / V6F version against ZF version, both the full ceramic. I haven't seen both models directly so I can't compare both of them. Did someone have the luck of seeing both in person? I have always read that case in KW ver is overall better than ZF's but looking at the dial I could swear ZF fonts and sizes of the numbers are a better but on the contrary KW ver seems to have a closer color compared to gen's. I really would like to see a one to one comparison!

I greased seals on the crown and caseback. When I pressure tested it in my nalgene bottle (awesome idea) It only took about 3 ATM. There was a leak from the crystal. I still wear to the pool. So far no problems.

Just received my 438 from Toro.
This is the first rep I have purchased from a TD and I am delighted with it.

I contemplated removing some links myself but the smallest screwdriver I have seems a fraction too big and I don't want to force it.
Will wait until I see the local watchmaker later in the week.

They cannot be removed with a screwdriver. Those are force fitted pins. You'll need a special watch bracelet adjusting tool and a small mallet to push it out (as well to push them back in).

When I read the bracelet was a bitch, I took it to a watch smith and didn't even try.

Thanks mysterio and Norrie.
I can see it's not a quick and easy process on YouTube without the specific tools. Will leave it to the old watch smith.

Is it the first time you've done it or you've removed them before and now you can't remove them? Both lug screws or just one side?

Well, it is possible you're both just worried about turning the lug screws too hard and the screws are glued using a weak thread locker. It does resist unscrewing, but putting a little more effort should break the adhesive and you'll be able to remove the lug screws.

But if you're really afraid to do it, ask a rep-friendly watchmaker to remove the screws for you.

Thanks Mysterio.

I have brought it to my watch smith and the issue was solved.

He said that the head of the screws were expanded and will require a lot more force to turn.
(I have already used a lot of strength and the slits on the head were a little scarred. Was too afraid to apply more strength.)

He then filed the heads and all is good now.

This is a QC request. After endlessly reading about this model and the reps (thanks to that awesome guide!), I decided to buy one of them. Being a novice at this, I'm trying to get opinions on the QC pics.

1. Does the black color look scraped off at the RE1G text to the right?

2. Whole bunch of small white specks. Dust? scratches?

3. Anything else you notice?

I received a 438 recently (very happy!), but when I tried to swap the bracelet for an asso strap, I discovered one of the lug screws was broken (turned but didn't come out). Mine was sent back to China for repair and all good now! [emoji4]
