Hi guys, I got a nice and clean Noob Pam390 few years ago which is not sold by TD anymore. Everything was fine until yesterday I found the watch CANNOT be wound. It’s stuck at time setting position no matter I pull the crown out or press it back in so the watch is dead now.

I’m looking for a modder to fix the movement issue or even replace the A6497 with ETA6497. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks RWI and members.

This is a keyless issue, happens to a few of my Noob 6947 watches.

Try to push the crown in with a fingernail on one side. If that doesn't work, try the other side. This always works for me.

Simply closing the lever keeps it in the time setting function.

^ I agree that it's probably a keyless issue... Does the crown 'wobble' side to side? From my experience even if you are able to massage the crown into a position that allows you to wind, the issue will only get worse and will need proper attention.

I would suggest that you call around local watch repair shops and ask if they are willing to work on Asian 6497 movements. I found one near me that has no problem doing so - very convenient for simple repairs.

It works! The watch runs again! but I think it’s a chronic problem I have to deal with eventually.

The crown does like wobble side to side when I am winding. I think the stem is bent. Massage works but I think you are right. It needs some attentions.

If you can remove the case back it will be easier to see where the issue is, and maybe a simple fix by tightening or replacing the set lever screw, but that is on the dial side and will mean removing the dial and hands.
This thread shows how the keyless works mechanism works and the set lever which sounds like it's stuck in time set position on your 390.
