Yes OP, the half moon is the rotor of the movement and its turning inside of the case is used to charge the movement. Seems like it is stuck and since its not moving the watch isnt charging either. The handwind should still work though just give it a try and im sure your TD will help you as this is kot something that should happen to a new watch.

Any idea if the fix is easy enough to take to aa watch repair main here in uk or is it worth the ball ache to send it back to [MENTION=1052]puretime[/MENTION]?

I would suggest communicating with puretime regarding having a local watchsmith open the back and have a look. It may just as simple as something stuck on the bearing making turning the rotor impossible or very difficult. Or it may be something more serious, which you would need to pay for. This cost may be the same as spending for the shipping (tangible cost) and waiting for the watch to get back to you (intangible cost). puretime may agree to share in or even shoulder the cost for repair depending on the case.

Ok, well today I went into both Wigan and bolton looking for someone willing to open it up. No one had the tools apparently to be able to do it (case opener) all of them said it needed to be sent off. I told them it was a replica and still no one would do it.

I got it sorted thank you. The keyless works or something along those lines sheared off and was stuck in the rotor.
