I am a happy owner of the Noob v2/3 version. When noob reissued the 243 (after taking it out of production for a while), the used an updated crystal with a MUCH better cyclops than the original release (same as the cyclops on the 299O). The fit and finish on my noob is excellent overall. Moreover, from my experience, noob does source better quality movements than H-Factory. The A7750 used in my noob 243 has been a superstar. I never had an issue with the movement on any of my noob watches. My H-factory sourced watches have been a much different story: (1) H-factory Hublot black magic---nightmare A7750 that had to be serviced twice before I gave up on it (it would stop running while on my wrist); (2) H-Factor Steelfish (cheaper version of the A2824, not the good seagull version used by noob in its watches); and (3) H-Factor Super Avenger, A7750 had terrible PR and also would stop on my wrist for no apparent reason.

I admit these are older releases (2012 and 2013). H-factory has stepped up in a big way on their recent releases (much better luminor case set; awesome ceramic AP Diver case set etc.), but I am always concerned that they compromise movement quality to hit a price point. This is only based on my personal experience. I am curious if anyone else has had similar experiences.

I have to agree with your assessment of the H Factory versus Noob A7750. The noob seems to be a superior grade and more reliable quality. The only 7750s I've had problems with have been from H factory.

Thanks guys..
for sharing with me your opinions..
But i think...reading carefully what you wrote...that it is still a "head to head"..
The top would be somebody who has both..(2014/15 version)
:)

I understand, but looks aren't everything. When comparing two high quality "super reps", I would take one that is slightly less accurate in appearance if it has a better quality movement. A lower quality movement will plague your ownership experience, but slight inaccuracies in appearance will never be noticed by anyone but a WIS owner. In short, I would buy a pre-owned noob 243 v2/v3 on M2M over a new H-Factory updated 243--unless someone can confirm that H-Factor is using a quality seagull A7750 movement. I am willing to give H-Factory another chance, but I would proceed with caution when there is a excellent competing noob product.

All, after a painful wait....my new H Factory P243 has arrived and I'm really happy with the aesthetics, however I'm sad to say the watch is a DOA and something has clearly worked its way loose in transit as any movement of the watch results in what can only be described as a jangle of the movement parts, I haven't removed the back plate and await a response from my TD as to what to do next.

assuming the TD is unhelpful, I have attempted to research posts where others have suffered the same DOA outcome, and the consensus appears to be to send to a Modder/Repairer.

with that In mind has anybody got a contact or recommendation for a UK / European based solution?
i suppose I will be looking for the movement to be services while I'm at it.

thank you for any tips or advice you can offer
Glen

Nb. I intend to post pics as soon as I can

Sometimes the rotor gets loose and the screw is somewhere else in example- blocking balance wheel. Take a look at the movement if you can, post photos and let us see it. We will guide you then.

Thanks Polonus (again!), how can I remove the back plate without a specific tool (apologies I could probably research this!!)

Is there an alternative make-shift solution?, obviously I'm keen to avoid any damage to the back
Thanks Glen

I have an older H Factory I picked up from a member here. Since then I purchased the Gen, but still have the rep. I can tell you that my H fact is so good you almost cannot tell the difference between it and my Gen. There are very subtle differences and nobody will ever be able to tell without side by side comparison for several minutes. It also has fantastic power reserve and the lume is like a torch. I honestly wear it a lot more than the Gen.

I hope you're able to get it repaired easily and quickly so you may enjoy it.

It would be great if you can do a GEN vs REP comparison ..

Glen,

I take a hotgluepistol, put some glue on the caseback and press a wooden cylinder against the caseback. After the glue cooled you can open the caseback easily without any damage.

Can current owners of the H Factory Pam 243s comment on the reliability of the movements.
