Date lens does not look to provoque distortion of the date.
i got a H Fac (not this) that makes me feel sea sick whenever i look at the date....
let us know how is this date lens

Which H Fac PAM did you get that has a distorted cyclops?

some more photos would be great, the overly saturated photos on these dealer sites makes it impossible to see the details well. I wish they wouldn't sell it with the strap, or at least offer a camel colored gator.. as it's the best color combination with the blue dial.

It's a HFac 089E dial into a 297 case….(aka Polonus PAM)

with the sea sick cyclop distortion….

Jeez, you weren't kidding; that is pretty bad. So the sapphire/cyclops came from an H-fac 297?

Correct, and cyclop can't be removed because the inner side of the crystal is carved and cyclop stuck in…..

By the way, i would be very grateful if anyone can advice by which crystal with NO cyclop it could be replaced….?

Have you heard about this being a problem at all on the 243 H-fac? It has a stellar "short notice" by Polonus but there still hasn't been quite enough buzz about them on here and a formal review to make me 100% comfortable to buy; so I wonder if this Seasick cyclops problem carried over to some of those watches as well. I'm debating between this new 228 and the H-fac 243M for my holiday watch purchase. Unfortunately, both of them are H-facs with cyclops. =/

The distortion on the cyclops seems pretty minimal to me on his particular piece. But maybe some samples of 243 do have a distorted cyclops; I just haven't seen a complaint about it come across here ... to my knowledge.

Anyone know why the 228 is getting so much hate on PureTime now that it's posted there? Maybe because of their crazy high price? Or newly discovered flaws? Or both?
