KOT, you were right. I apologize. Zero effort on improving by HWF. One would think they could have at least had their 111 dial transplanted into the Ti case but they went the extra mile to make it even worse.

No reason.
Judging by the photo of Trusty, they equalized the brightness of the lume on the hands and the dial, and in the video, I did not notice the milky veil on the crystal, as well as the blue AR color, which does not duplicate the light source, but illuminates the entire plane of the crystal.
If everything is so, then this is already a serious positive dynamic.

Well it looks decent IRL, congratulations.

One thing is that CG pin looks a bit weird, so flat and flush. As notified earlier it almost looks like a deco dot more than a real part of the device.

I can't wait to read what the specialists around will say, but in the meantime can we have pics with open CG lever and caseback please ?

And one more thing I would like to add on, the lume looks a bit too green-ish IRL

Beautifull!!! Please what is the thickness of the case?
And the feel of the weight in your hand ... is it light?

The xtal looks surprisingly good in terms of clarity. Any chance of comparing the bevel of the xtal to an HFac or Noob? (me trying to sound like a rep connoisseur)

Congratulations on your purchase, pf78 !

What can you tell about the situation with the visibility of the CG lever, in the clearance of the notch corner? In one of your photos, it is clearly visible, but how do you feel about this in practice?

Also, what can you say subjectively about the quality of the crystal? The photos show that it is better than, for example, the PAM1085 HWF, but what does the gaze say in the dynamics of movement and reflection?

jacklarssen , I don't think it was appropriate to quote the entire set of photos.
If the owner of the watch has the opportunity and desire, he will take these measurements and say exactly, but I would expect ~ 80g and 15mm. This model is made of titanium and is relatively light compared to the steel panerai models in this case.

pf78 congrats!
Welcome to the 177 club.
nice strap combo
Biggest difference I notice between them all is my noob has matching lume between markers and hands. My old Hfac had very white hands and greenish? Lume.
Yours looks very balanced between hands and numerals, not sure if it’s more gen like but looks way better to me.

Can you shed some light on the clearance of the notch corner? I've got my flashlight and the 177 with me today so I can take a closer look.

Also can you provide pics of good and bad xtals?

I have zero idea on how to measure the clarity but I think the xtal is pretty clear! Similar with my Ns and Hs

Here's the picture of my crown guard lever (gen PAM177):

Comparing it to HWF PAM177, like KOT1917 mentioned before, you can see the the lever has an arc:

I think the HWF lever's shape is something like that ( red marker):

Maybe pf78 can chime in on this issue.
If my memory served me correctly, the arc on the lever was discussed back when eddie lee was still a dealer..... 15 years ago?

Did hwf release the 176 along with this?

No, but most likely they will. If you’re in a hurry, perfect clones has some old stock of HFac 176. I am also pondering whether to get one too.

I know it's slightly off-topic but thought some folks might be interested to see images of Perfect Clones' NOS H-Fac 177 which I just purchased (QC already approved and in flight, so please don't point out any issues!! ;)). I will post actual pics on arrival if there's interest. Josh also had the 176 when I ordered but not sure if still available):

I think the lume variances people have mentioned depend massively on the lighting. Here are some gen pics where the hand lume can look much whiter (or at least brighter) than the dial lume:

Main difference (to my hugely untrained eye, things like case and CG lever shape really don't bother me!) is the dial text looks whiter on the HWF than the H-Fac or gen, but, again, this could be magnified by the lighting conditions. Overall the HWF does look like a good option, and is quite a bit cheaper than the H-Fac from what I understand.

The price difference is why I haven't pull the trigger with the hfac because I'm not sure if I will keep this. I'm also very torn between the no secs vs secs hand

Yep, get that. I was torn between the 176 and the 177 too, but I went with the slightly busier dial of the 177, and the fact that I can tell if it's still working at a glance :)
