Contemplating picking up a Pam127, though I might be too faint of wrist.

ZF, V6F, Noob Factory: All are Pam127E's with Incabloc.

All seem like super reps to me.

Noob seems less expensive than the other 2 factories.

Is there a reason why ZF and V6F hold such a premium above Noob?

Just curious as Toro has a promotion now for the Noob Pam127E for $298 while ZF and V6F are still $408:

My POV -- I seem to recall a similar post but I'd go with Marlin, DSN and Noobs / BK Noob. A premium price doesn't necessarily equate to a better rep. The test I give is will the guy next to you care or want to know what you're wearing, if he does, does he care or want to know what model and finally does he know it's a gen or a rep?

Thanks for the input boys.

I’ve looked at all 3 front and back and they all look pretty excellent.

Short of getting the jewels colorized by Marlin I don’t see a reason not to get the Noob, the model is simple enuf that I’m not sure what BK could really do for it short of a polish here or there.

I think I’ll go with the Toro special unless there is a compelling reason I’m not aware of.

Then will come the custom strap hunt (Gunny, Simona, Martu clone of the previous two, etc.) to follow.

Thanks!

You have to consider that ZF and V6F were never re-released and TDs are notorious for not updating models that are not re-released. So whatever price you see on their websites are what they cost when they were released. Noob was the latest and so the pricing reflects the current market rate. ZF and V6F only had the Y-incabloc over the original Noob. That advantage is no more with the latest re-release from Noob. Not exactly what we hoped Noob would do as it wasn't completely perfect, but at least what little disadvantage it had against the heretofore newer releases have been overcome.

Good choice. Toro is great. I will do a short review for him soon.

Guys I'm really new to all this rep stuff, interested in this Noob 127E... Couple questions:

The back of it, which is clear, do the gears move like in the gen? Do you have videos of yours?

Any pics of it on your hands? 47mm is pretty big

Hand-winding movement, how long does it last? Is it durable long-term in reps?

Also general question: Can reps like this be serviced by a regular store if anything were to go wrong?

47s aren't that big but search the panerai wristies thread and you'll see a few pics, I have a few pix with the 127, 605 and a Mille Metri and (soon will be adding a Mini Egi)

Hand winding - it's great, very reliable IMHO

Re: service -- just dont take it into an AD, like someone on this forum did with their Rollie, there are modders and watch smiths who are members here that will service it for you. Reading and searching this forum is your friend

I recently got a KW v2 PAM127 Fiddy, paid $408. I would have bought the Noob model but at the time Noob was closed temporarily and we didn't know when they would resume operations. I love my watch, but I was probably too impatient. A couple of weeks would have saved me $210.

Here's my Fiddy on Printhis strap

Ok Pam127 passed customs will be arriving soon.
Gonna see how it looks and fits with the rep strap on my girlie wrist first b4 I order the strap.

But I think I have it narrowed down to either the Simona Alchemist or a Manifatture Serioso, both which will run me give or take $200.

Per this post here, the Manifatture Serioso is just superior to the Wotancraft and looks great:

Edit: or actually, I might see what Andrea thinks she can come up with!
