It's black anyway. Cost of reluming will be pretty expensive (I don't live in States, shipping and handling 2 ways will cost roughly 15U$). The new dial cost only $35 shipped
well, it depends, I think my 036 is brown dial, but I don't live in US or UK so I need to check the cost first. If it is cheap, I really want to relume it.
I see. Correct me if I am wrong, the canon pin in 036 by default is short. If yes, that means mine has been fixed Anyway, I notice that the hands glow twice brightly as the dial. Does that mean they were changed too (it is comparable to a gen Omega SMP's glow)? Strange... the seller didn't provide much info (he just said movement has been serviced, didn't mention anything about changed hands,etc.).
Yeah.... Pm-ed him a few days ago. Didn't receive any respond. I think he's scared that I complained about the dial (it's black instead of brown like what he described). However, I didn't really say anything about it. I'm happy with the watch. What I need to do is just to send it for relume and glued the PANERAI engraving to the movement (it's detached now).
takashi, if u read this topic earlier, my 036 also does not have a cannon pin problem and the hands have brighter lume as well, the only difference is mine has a tobacco dial, it is something between brown and black.
Andrew may have one (Asian movement). However, the proper movement for this 036 as we have discussed earlier is the Swiss Unitas unmodified bridge type. Those Asians are using newer design. i heard Joshua has a good copy of this one. Ask him if in doubt.
I got it from puretime. He got both Asian and Swiss movement. Mine is a swiss one. U need some patience in email him cause recently he got some affairs to clear up first.
Glad that you've mentioned it. IMHO, very handful of people would know what model is that. It's we that are very particular about a watch model. The AR coating and the size of the watch itself are enough to make everyone admire the watch
Like this kind of "handmade" approach to a watch.
