Can any one enlighten me.
I am a new PAM owner and really need to know: Can you go swimming with a PAM or do I have to get it specially prepared?
Please no Eddie Lee: 50 yard dash stuff!

you can have it safely tested by a watchsmith,
and if it needs 'help' that can be done..

many say that they swim with theirs.. for me, i would feel little
safer with a test.

Cheers!

what Klink said!

When everything is fit properly the basic pams should be plenty safe for swimming.
It is still a good idea to have it checked first to be sure.

safe

I don't even swim with my nice gens that are water proof.

I put on a beater.

Kind of silly to take off a 300m dive watch to get in the pool.

I do the warm water test on mine before diving in with 'em. The backs on one of my PAMs was loose and after tightening it has been fine in the pool.

I have been saying this for years... I take my watch off when I wash my hands.

Take heed - the Patek website insists that you should have your genuine Patek pressure tested every year.

Do the same with your rep.

Better still, take it off near water. It is only a rep, after all.

Thanks Chris,

picked up the 063 an hour ago. Awesome. It already seems glued to my wrist. Thanks very much.
Can this one be used near water?
