How come its very rare for people to wear their luminors without the rubber straps? I've heard the rep leathers are bad so I ordered a pam with rubber and I rarely, if not ever, see pictures of pams on rubber.

If you have pictures of 000, 005, 111, etc. on rubber straps, please post here.

How do you like the rubber strap? I'm worried it wont fit my wrist since my wrist is 6.0-6.1 inches

My wrist is 7" and it's snug on the second to last hole.

The rubber straps are a 'look', one I don't like much. Give me a fine leather strap any day, on any PAM. That is, of course, purely a personal aesthetic. The rep Asso strap is pretty good--especially for the price.

I love rubber straps and almost exclusively wear them on my watches....

The rep rubbers are done very well and are higher quality than the rep leathers
So I do purchase new reps on rubber when purchasing
But never wear one
Don't think I ever have worn a Pam on rubber for more than a day just looks a million times better on a good quality leather

I do think rubber cheapens the look of a Panerai and most watches in general

Most gen owners rarely wear the rubber either due to the unlimited high quality leather options
I find many aftermarket leather strap makers to be superior to oem leather as well

I understand the mindset of Pam sub owners though that wear rubber all the time and respect that point of view

Can you post pictures of your pams on rubber? Also, I really like the assos leather strap (it looks almost like a suede) can anyone post a link to where I can buy that?

I know Toro sells the rep Asso's on his site. As for the rubber the only one I've ever kept on my watches are the accordian style sub ones that come with the 187 or 243. I kept that on my 243 for a while before finding a nicer leather option.

There's also a practical side to wearing the rubber when things start to heat up in summer, nothing gets mankier faster than a sweaty piece of leather. I like wearing PAMs on rubber, gives them a sporty look.

I don't wear rubber straps because even at the last hole, it's still a little big for my needs. I'd have to punch a new hole which is something that I am not prepared to do if it can't be done in the same way as the other holes.

That's what I'm worried about. I have a 6.0-6.1 inch wrist and I'm worried the rubber is going to be way to big.

The standard rubber strap is not for smal wrist. If you make other holes you will pass over the inscription OFFICINE on the strap

I wear my 177L on it's Rubber strap, but then I like my Seiko Divers on Rubber Straps. Although I tried wearing my Breitling Avenger Ti on it's rubber strap and I couldn't get used to the look so it's on a good quality leather strap now.

I often wear mine on rubber, but I prefer the rubber with deployment clasp. Good for casual days, or days when you don't want to have to worry about leather/shoe color.

What should I do since I have a 6.0inch wrist? I'm going to order a leather strap once I find one I like but in the meantime, what do you suggest I do? Wear it a little big or have someone put another whole in it?
This is Q5's now but I still had these pics..

I wear mine religiously, only because I do not like the other strap I have. I have recently ordered a new one. My wrist is 7 inches and I find the third to last hole a bit to loose but the second to last a bit too tight. I do not like the feel of it on my wrist, sticky, pulls gets sweaty. I wear my other strap for more classy events and wear my rubber one for more "sporty" stuff, or fishing ect. I wear this watch everyday
