Using that definition, ALE, the PAM237H, 301K and the 57D, for example, would be fantasy watches as they have not appeared in the OP catalog. Of course, we know they are not. ;)

Hi mysterio
You, I and we all know what I'm talking about, don't know ?

Of course, called ghost PAMs. :) Anyway, the OP wasn't asking about the real/fantasy nature of DLCed PAMs. If it was a question of whether which among the DLCed 005 and the DLCed 111 would be more accurate to gen, the answer would be neither and both. Neither because both exist in SS and not in DLC and both because gen 005 and gen 111 have been known to be customized by their owners by the application of the coating.

And to answer the OP's question, I would choose the DLC 005. :)

The 390 is a beauty in DLC as well, here on rep asso strap.

And my favorite, the 359. DLC by Avitt and on gen asso.

You can not go wrong with a DLC pam, sure these are fantasy but I like to think of them as bespoke watches ;)

I must have picked up the bespoke term from you Klockis. And awesome examples to boot. I am now enticed to get a bespoke PAM. :)

Yes, all 44mm are Kuvarsit cases.
Much better then H-fac (IMHO of course)

You are correct, but there is no good rep of the 195.

Seeing your comments and studying carefully the PAM 195 replica, maybe you are right and we should downgrade from First Class replica. Anyway is borderline.

Thoughts??

Is PAM 195 sandwich or sausage dial?
If it is a sausage dial with case back, can we simply associate a PAM 195 is actually a PAM 005 DLC? If not then can someone share what makes 195 different from 005 DLC? Thank you so much :)

You did read Ale's PAM guide right?

EVALUATION: (**) SUPER REP (M&N-series Noob, K&M-series H maker)
The PAM 005 is the same as PAM 000 but with seconds@9 subdial
There are many Panerai watches related to PAM 005 type, with Sausage dial and seconds sub-dial.
With Logo in the dial we have:
PAM 318 the same but with “Brooklyn Brigde†engraved caseback.
PAM 195 is a PVD coated version
Without Logo in the dial and made of SS we have:
PAM 001 very similar, but Pre-A , A and B models have Tritium dial.
PAM 022 Destro version of PAM 001, watches from A-series have Tritium dial, after them Luminova dial
PAM 366 “Fuâ€dedicated to China with a Chinese character @6 and cream patina
PAM 367 dedicated to China, but the chinese character @6 has been replaced with the traditional "6" and cream patina.
PAM 004 PVD coated version with Tritium dial
Without Logo and made of full Brushed Titanium we have:
PAM 082 “Amerigo Vespucci†with Blue dial
PAM 118 with Display caseback
PAM 117 Destro version of PAM 118
PAM 056 Destro version of PAM 118 but with Solid caseback and different movement.
PAM 036 a very Special Edition with Brown Tritium dial and Display caseback showing a OP II movement.
PAM 040 a very Special Edition with Black Tritium dial and Solid caseback

Thanks for the enlightenment. Really appreciate it
I have another question, is pvd and dlc the same?
How's the quality of both dkc and pvd?

Honestly I am not sure if PVD and DLC are the same. After doing some reading I came to the conclusion they are technically the same.

PVD = Physical Vapor Deposition (the process of applying a vaporized coating to something)

DLC= Diamond Like Coating (a vaporized coating)

PVD is a process. DLC is a type of coating. DLC coating is applied using the PVD process.

It's like "brush" and "paint"

Paint is applied using a brush.

DLC is applied using PVD.

Correct. What's called PVD coating is usually black. DLC (applied through the PVD process) is lighter in color.

Thanks again for the enlightenment
Can someone share side by side comparison of PVD and DLC case set?
How different are they in term of the darkness of the color?
Thank you
