As said I am waiting until its coming in. I guess it is a 7753 compared to 7750 rep pics where the DW is considerably sunken. Perhaps it's just the angle the pic was taken? I can't believe they produced a lower quality version of 7753 daylights just for a special offer.... Sounds a bit bizzare to me... I am going to post my own 'QC-pics' when it has arrived.

Do you have any idea around which date you will receive it? Anyway, we're waiting your pics... Hope all is good.

I've been informed that the watch is on its way. No clue when it's finally arriving. But as said I will post pics, then.

Watchcollector, this should be one of important knowledge you must know when dealing with reps, that 99% of standard model reps our dealers sell on the same "version", they tend to be the SAME. We are dealing with chinese dealers, you should have knowledge that mistakes/misspellings/missing details are a very common one. Even in $200k chinese machine I deal with, the people would still misspell/missing some details on it.

I am just saying that is a common thing, and you should expect same quality with from other TD.

Even a replica stated as 1:1 almost always still have flaws. How can a 1:1 have flaws/differences? They should be stated as 1:0,95

These are the same 2010 daylights that have been selling for over two years already. They're not specially built for this 40% off sale, the dealers are simply helping the factory blow out their stock before the updated models are going to be shipped. Having said that, you have to be extra careful and diligent with your QC, because it's possible that refurbished watches from QC rejections will make their way out in this manner.

If you missed the bus when these were discussed here's a very brief summary.

The most accurate of the bunch are the 236/250 and the 251. 188 & 196 don't have a period correct crown tube.

All 2010 model year A7753 daylight models have a 7750 datewindow position, the date font is not bold enough (more noticeable on white dials) along with the date being a bit sunken. Movement functions like a 7750 for date changes, meaning your date change starts somewhere around 10 o'clock and for about half an hour in 24 you'll have a half-date. Crown shanks need to get red-loctited because they like to unscrew inside the watch. Hands are sometimes too tight or too loose on the pinions, there could be some idiosyncrasies with painted rivets of black dial models, all models hour totalizer is fiddly due to gear train design - if it brushes on anything it will stop your chrono. Case lugs are too thick and some watches will have deeper strap notches than others due to low mfg. tolerances, lume is not superlume. Some models had incorrectly engraved casebacks but received a facelift along with hand rivets.

The below is just a guess, I don't have any special inside information.

The new updates will very likely include new crystals & a/r from the current mfg, new cases with adjustable hex crown tubes, better crownguards, possibly more streamlined lugs and overall better tolerances. Updated dials with the current "superlume" or superlume-like formula, relocated datewindow to the correct ETA7753 position, DW font bolder and printed further out on the DW to match the new window position on the dial. If you haven't noticed some of these changes are already in place with PAM326 and now more recently with updated PAM187.

Nice to see you again here w0lf.
Above post is a true lesson about the current situation of Daylight chronos.
I cannot agree more
I agree too with the new improvements to come. I hope it will be like that.

Thanks to take your time writing this reference post.

So, do you say that all the 7753 Daylights are produced in 2010? And then, if all still have problems with the sunken date, why are they better than the 7750 based Daylights?

What I wrote was - the discounted models selling today are the same as what came out in 2010. Not that "all 7753 Daylights are made in 2010", that would be a gross (and an incorrect) generalization.

There were three generations of ETA7753 models with first going back to 2005. There were also at least four distinct A7750 versions of daylights between 2007 and 2010. The Noob 2010 model lineup is a vast improvement over any A7750 based daylight. Regarding the date, I believe my exact words were "a bit sunken".

OK, then what was improved in a 2012 7753 Daylight, compared to the 2010 7753 Daylight? Thanks.

The only new/newer or updated models are the 326 and 187. They come with most of the improvements I mentioned as likely slated for the rest of the lineup, read the last paragraph of post #25.

I saw from both categories, with silver pins or with black ones, so, maybe it depends on luck...
