I'd be happy with just 192 hours PR (which is what an 8 days movement can achieve). But 8 more hours wouldn't hurt I suppose. :D

Some comments about gen-reps PAM 8 days series

Movement

Maybe it will be a movement based in the same as clone P.3000

Case-set
As already commented in PAM GUIDE (PAM 510 and 511) the gen 8 days case-set is different from "old" Luminor 44mm. case-sets
Due to P.5000 movement is thinner than Unitas 6497-2, this lower thickness allows a thinner watch.
Gen 8 days series case-sets are a bit thinner than "old" Luminor 44mm.

BOTTOM GEN PAM 510 - TOP GEN PAM 111

Bezel seems a bit different too. it seems to have a wider vertical side and a sharper transition edge between vertical and inclined surface
Lug obviously will be thinner too and seem start more detached form cushion shape edge.

LEFT GEN PAM 510 - RIGHT GEN PAM 111

Above mentioned differences are not very noticeable, even in person and side by side IF you DON'T KNOW about the differences.
Indeed I worn and played with gen PAM 510 and 511 the first time in last October and I didn't realize the differences (I was conditioned because I though they were the same and I didn't search differences)

Crystal bevelled almost disappear because new crystal is almost flush with the bezel edge

Read this RG thread for more info:

Interesting matter and waiting for the new reps to see the new evolution

Following Klockis observations in RG, pics are showing deeper dial, as you say maybe optical effect from a different crystal, but the difference is noticeable on pics

This difference actually is possible since P.5000 movement is thinner than 6497

I have also seen that rehaut in 8 days PAMs has conical shape whereas ol Luminor have cylindrical or almost cylindrical shape

I have seen too that edges of the CG seem more rounded

I think the factories should have great interest in repping this case, all most recent gens share it.
For the makers this would mean having a whole new line of Panerais that only need a change of dial and caseback to be released.
And a lot of new PAMs for us to buy :)
