Hello All, i dont see many threads on PAM 643, I think it's one of the most simple and beautiful RADS. Any owners have more info?.

The CP looks black in the pics..... It that trick photography then?

It is just reflection of a dark surface, probably the camera itself. And probably done so as to make the CP 'seem' smaller in the photos (very clever). The CP is polished on Gen and oversized-Rep... there is one pic that would show it perfectly, but there is a very conviniantly placed reflection blocking the CP from view

It is not black. It is polished. Look at the edge of the CP, you can see the reflection in silver. The reason it 'looks' black is because the watch is in a light box and is reflecting the actual camera taking the pic. Think of the CP as a little mirror reflecting a black object, the slighty rounded edge of the cap is reflecting the light from the box and shows it is polished.

Wow. That's dodgy. I only ordered because I thought they had a black cp now. Is there any easy fix to change to a black cp?

You will not find a black CP at the market. The only solution is painting a silver CP
