Not a 616 but a 508 is pretty similar.
I really like the Simona Burns Allegrini Diver.
She now offers this strap as a Museum collection:

And a good old NATO, maybe in matching blue like the accents in the 616:

That’s the whole thing with Panerai, having a whole strapcollection.
I think I have 15 26mm straps but “only” 6 watches they’ll fit.

Should a zulu fit Better Than a Nato? With the large 47mm case and crown guard?

Does the lug bars have tubes fitted over them, inside the strap? Or just the bars?

If you're asking if the lug bars come with tubes when you buy the watch, it depends. I've had watches come with tubes, some without. But lug bars that are screw-in are recommended to be used with tubes as that's what they're there for (to prevent the movement of the watch to unscrew the lug bars).

mysterio Are all the PAM 616 reps designed the same for the 1.6mm? Cause the buckle looks like it needs a screwdriver but the actual lug looks different

I've always used a smaller screwdriver for the removing the buckle from the strap. 1.2mm if memory serves me right.

mysterio Perfect thank you! Looking forward to getting a new strap for my 616 I bought on here! Its confusing cause the Panarai website says 22/26mm is the strap size. But it seems like when buying a strap the consensus is the size for the 616 is 26mm

You're just not familiar with the system. When they say 26/22, it means the lug width and then the buckle width (if the numbers are different, the larger number is the lug width, if it's the same then both lug width and buckle width are the same width). So the straps are 26mm at the lug and will accommodate 22mm buckles. All straps for the PAM616 will have 26 as its lug width. The buckle size can be 22, 24 or 26. But if you don't have an aftermarket buckle for 24 and 26mm then the one that came with the PAM616 is a 22mm buckle. Therefore you would need a 26/22 strap.
