Gold plated panerai

So, I was staying at a hotel in south beach last night and the watch boutique in the lobby obviously caught my eye.

I walked and and saw a variety of nice new shiny gold plated panerai watches, and loved them!!

Do factory's not make reps of the gold plated pams?

I've seen the "bronzo" in RG at toro and pure time.
Don't have a clue how accurate etc. they are but they are gold plated.
