Where the bluegrass sways!
Relatively quiet rotor compared to the Seagull 388.

Thinner than a CRPO and slightly thicker than a Submariner.

Beautiful and light, but really surprised it doesn't hack for the price:

Does the gen hack?

Worth picking one of these up or should I get a 422 or another 47mm Pam instead?

Does anyone even know why this movement is not being discussed more?

There seem to be a scant few threads across all the rep forums that even mention this movement beyond the initial excitement about it's possibility a couple years back.

Also, I asked Josh from Perfect Clones about the reliability of this movement/PAM572 and he didn't seem to even realize it existed.

What's going on here, this should be a pretty big deal right?

I just got my PAM 572 and the rotor is extremely loud. Louder than any of my other reps. It sounds like the rotor is clunking around in there and maybe hitting the glass. However, the sound is still there when i take the caseback off. I tried to tighten the screw at the center of the rotor and it didn't make any difference.
Anybody tried to oil this thing? What kind of oil do you guys use to oil a rotor?

I completely agree -- with all the people whining and moaning for this movement, the reception has been lackluster at best. Its a huge deal IMO, even if it is louder that one would like.

Funny the Puretime timegraph said +5 seconds per day when it shipped but when I got it it it was +80 seconds on the wrist!

Anyways my local watch guy was able to get under the deco and adjust it, now back to +5 sec/day.

Hi guys,

I have the 572 incoming, just made the payment. A couple of questions:

1) Anything particular that I need to watch out for in the QC pics? I mean outside of usual markers, alignment stuff etc.?
2) I want to order a custom strap. Anyone has the strap lengths (short and long side) as well as the width at the lugs and at the buckle?

Thanks for the help :)

At the PAM572 hasn't been very popular, there hasn't been many issues identified with the watch, which may be a good or bad thing, depending on your point of view. The PAM572 has 24mm lugs and would taper to 22mm at the buckle (which you can ask from your TD by the way since they're selling the watch to you). Length of the rep strap is 115/75mm. If you're going to buy a custom strap, up to you what length you need, it would depend on how large your wrist is, which you did not provide.

Thanks man. I actually asked the TD and they said they did not have that information. I Guess they did not want to go through the hussle ;)
I’ll post pics when I receive it.

Cheers!

Movement works fine, rotor is a little noisy, but not too bad.
I had problems with mine running very fast after a few days, the watchmaker found a chinese pubic hair in the balance spring. Now it's back to normal.

Did you have to pay more for that unique movement decoration?
