I think there will be bunch of new versions released by the end of this quarter with bunch of new models like 590 / 564 so on and forth. Thing is I'm not really happy with the overall dial & finishing. It seems to me after all this time the factories took, they have really not excelled rather made a sloppy attempt.

Dont think this release qualifies as a super rep at all based on today's standards after comparing it with gen pics.

-Space between lug and case is big (similar to kw case lug flaw)
-Wrong case finishing, bezel finishing too sharp. This is one flaw that is quite impossible to fix wihout having great skills/proper machinery. Usual hand/bench polish will not give you the desired effect.
-Either crownguard is too big or the crown is too small. The lever is just horrible and the lever pin is bigger than a cow's nipple lol.
-As for the movement, nice attempt but bad finishing and even a 3 year old boy can figure out the fake wheel.
Only thing i like is the dial, looks like the color is spot on.

The open caseback puts it out of the super rep game imho.

The CG isn't bad overall, but the lever shape is off. The tip is acceptable, while the inner part that pushes on the crown has really too wide angle. Not so noticeable in real life, but something to consider anyway.
In the end the only thing that really bugs me on this rep is the crown, it really looks too thin ad too wide. Chamfered edges most likely have the wrong angle making the crown look even thinner. Change the crown and the whole rep changes its face.

I have one coming do we will see soon enough. Most of the flaws are fixable. What most of you do is compare internet pics of these watches which all have different lighting and angles. Until you hold side by side with gen or handle a gen most will never know the real flaws. Many of these flaws can be fixed. Case shape and finish is pretty spot on to the gen.

Yup, agree with your statements. Imo, the lugs look weirdly shaped as well. If they get the crownguard/lever right i think it would be close to super rep considering the movement will hardly be seen just like the 111.

I think we discussed this already. Theres no other way to discuss and compare reps with gens without being endorsed by Panerai itself AND the rep factories.
It will always be an imperfect examination but that's all we have, and that's why gen owners among us that can compare reps directly with their gens are so valuable.
I'm looking forward to hear your opinions on this 510... and see some pics as well!

I can assure you that I have never received a serious claim regarding evaluations and reviews or mini-reviews in PAM GUIDE. And as you can see almost all existent reps are reviewed and evaluated in PAM GUIDE. And I also assure you that some thousands of buyers around the world have had the opportunity of making direct comparison with gens.
That said I think that our methods of comparison and evaluations are good enough for our purposes

, I've the PAM510 KW version and I'm very satisfied, it keeps accurate time, the crown is little more thicker and above all consider that I've paid it only 168 $ plus shipping..what ask more from a rep ?
