Does Pronzo mean PR + Bronzo? It sounds very smart.

Well, I don't like the power reserve indicator on the dial, especially if it doesn't work. I prefer the classic 382.

Hahaha It's not my invention. I remember reading about the term on Risti or some other gen watch forum. I did think it was smart as well, to link the watch to the original inspiration, the Bronzo, but to announce the main difference of the new watch which was the power reserve (that and the PAM507 was much more accessible than the hard to find PAM382). :)

I can see why not everyone would like it, the Power Reserve display per se is not an important enough feature to release another watch (OP merely wanted to capitalize on the demand for the PAM382 but did not want to anger the existing owners by re-releasing it is general feeling). Also the placement of the PR on one side made the watch look unbalanced.

But since we are talking about reps here, I'm just getting one because of the Pokemon adage "You gotta get them all!".

I would guess the PR does function. Although not at an actual 72 hours of course with rep movement. Otherwise why the need for the date change button. If the PR is faux and not real than the dial would just be your standard seconds at 9 with regular date change via the crown.

We need an actual owner of the rep. But if that were the selection criteria, I would have settled for a non-working PR with the correct mid-case than a working PR with a clearly wrong mid-case with date change button. No one will follow you and check if the PR goes down after a few hours. But the date change is apparent with a few seconds of cursory inspection, screams "I'M A REP".

I agree. I would also prefer a static PR than to have the date change button on the case. That's the main reason I would not buy this rep.
