Hi All,

Recently picked up the PAM 416 below from Sora of Shinewatch.
Best interaction I've ever had with a dealer and the quickest shipping.

Back in October of last year I picked one of these up from Kuvarsit watch.
Kuvarsit is no longer a TD... which makes sense as that watch I received from them was inferior in every way.

The KW 416 below appears to have correct lume structure, correct black dial and even the asso strap is softer and more gen-like. It's hard for me to believe that this watch and the previous one I owned were by the same maker.

Have a look:

Thanks Thatoneguy, this thread and your pics are really illustrative

It is just me.. or this sausage dial is almost perfect ?
See the 6 and 12 in last pic, they really seem recessed like gen sausage dial, and rep dial surface cavities have rounded edges just like gen dial

I would like to see more focussed pics and macros to have a better idea about the rep lume structure
The same regarding lugs, I would like too see good pics from 3, 9 and 6 or 12

Thanks in advance
ALE

Note- Regarding last year KW reps, I think almost every people know KW sold last year the last batches and parts of these PAM watches at very low price. For some reason Boutique dials were made a bit brownish. But the prices were really a bargain. Of course KW knew they were making new versions of dials and of cases and they needed to sell the old parts in some way.
I think you are talking about those batches of KW reps

this lume structure very perfect, kw can make true super rep dial from 000, 005 or 390 with this structure

compare with h-fact new lume structure, who is better?

How is the case on this kW? Are the lug holes still high?

This is the reason I'm asking for pics from 3 and 9 hrs.

We need also know about the accuracy of edges, bezel and lugs shape

This dial is growing on me. I remain waiting for more pics from Thatoneguy

If the edges, bezel lugs and lug holes position are correct we could have a clear winner

Hi All,

So when I bought the PAM 416 KW back in October I actually paid just over $300. It was a "last batch" but before they lowered prices... so kinda shady...

Anyway some additionally pictures below.. please let me know if you guys would like to see more...

Many thanks for the good pics Thatoneguy

I think in the case the lug shape is already corrected but the position of the lug holes remains wrong (very high placement). Old lug shape was more like an eagle beak
Bezel seems well finished but the transition edge is sharper than gen (anyway more accurate than new H maker bezel). This is nice and gives the rep a very good appearance, but it is a bit inaccurate.

It seems an old KW case with corrected lug shape

Anyway very good case and very nice watch and rep. Leaving aside the lug holes position this case is better than a Noob V3

Since you have photographer skills enough, as you have showed

Try to get focussed macro pics of the lume structure

Thanks in advance

Wow the lume application does look good, and I just ordered a 412 from H-Fac....

On these models I find that the KW/V6F dial has wider lume and the H-Fac has thinner lume, to me it seems that the gen is somewhere in between... which one is considered more accurate?

Hey ALE,

See a few more pictures of the Lume structure below. This is about as clear as I can get the photos without a better camera...

Do note that rep lume has a total different construction compared to the gen. It is actually a slightly sausaged lume with a very small edge surrounding it, therefore creating the illusion of a recessed lume. If you notice the shadows surrounding the lume, you will know that the lume is infact sausaged or a little high, hence casting a shadow. It is not at all recessed.

However, without a loupe you will see the 'gen like' effect but im sure the difference is a lot when you place a gen and rep side by side.

Thanks for the effort. Unfortunately, as you say, the camera doesn't allow better pics. It is a pity

kampachi
You are commenting that this lume is the same as current rep sausage lume form H maker and Noob
That would be the most predicable thing

But I'm not as sure as you say. Unfortunately Thatoneguy pics don't allow a decision.
But it seems really recessed if you see the "6"
We will wait for more info

@Thatoneguy Are you using iPhone? If yes, you can manually focus on the dial and reflect your dial on a ceiling light. It will bring up the texture of the lume.

@ALE7575 In my opinion i think the lume application is not consistent on the dial, some might be slightly recessed and some sausaged. The 6 looks good but if you look at the 3, its a sausaged shadow. However i think this dial is the same as the one that was posted by a member not long ago on his 005 Noob where the lume construction looks recessed but in fact its more of a very shallow sandwich style. I had my doubts when i saw one of the watches on sales thread claiming that a gen 005 dial was used but it was exactly like the one on the Noob dial (shallow sandwich) but i cant be 100% sure.

Nice watch. I have the latest 415 from H FAC, but it appears to be a mix of new case with old dial. The lume on mine is slightly raised, but it's still a nice watch in isolation.
