I'm not sure which version of V2 movement you got but compare from mine to the previous V2 movement, there are quite a bit of different in terms of engraving on the movement which is now more like a gen one in the same direction and also the balance cock is also in the same direction and position of the gen.

On closer inspection, it does look a little different from my KW V2 Seagull. Maybe I just don't pay that much attention to the details lol.

Well maybe thats a cue to upgrade to this version :D

Hi carlton!

I see that the watch in your qc pics is on rubber strap. Did you have to order it extra? Or they come on rubber now?

Another interesting thing is that I tried to order the N series 359 at the same time, but it was supposedly unavailable..interesting..it was an O series instead. Do you fellas think it's worth spending a couple of extra $ on the 565? You think it's on the same level as the 359?

The difference is not really huge compare to the previous V2 version but i would say it is quite a significant improvement on it to make it more closer to gen P.9000 movement.

I would say it is a BIG improvement regarding accuracy. Now everything is in place and with non-inverted layout:
- Balance cock
- Inscriptions
- Escapement wheel

Nice approach

Sorry, miss you post.

I did not order the rubber strap as extra, i request it to have the watch come with rubber strap as it will be more useful for me than the rep leather strap. I believe there are a mix or 'N' and 'O' series around in the market for KW version, the first watch i got for QC is an 'O' series but fitted with the V2 ST2555 movement, i accept it but Sora told me that there is some problem with the watch and he will change another one for me and the rest is history.

As for 565, i'm not too sure. It's a LM version for the gen, maybe you can check it out in Ale's Pam guide and decide it yourself. For me i still prefer 359......

carlton thanks for your reply. I asked one of the TD's for this version, received a reply that he can get it for me, paid for the watch and now I got qc pics of the good old O series with the non inverted movement...damn it..I tried to explain it was not what I specifically asked for, but I don't think it got me anywhere. I decided to go with the 359, I'd like to have a polished case watch for a change and I also have a new custom made Nero strap to compliment the color of the inscriptions on the dial :)

Most likely KW have just start to use this new version of movement and the market is still full of stock with the V2 ST2555 movement. I think without any announcement made, most dealers don't know anything about this new improvement.

V2 or the latest one, 359 is still one of the best made Pam around with rep P.9000 movement.

Yeah,I realize this fact, but I linked my TD this thread and asked a question that leaves no space for interpretation and I hate it when they do that, mostly after you make a payment..I'd really like to have the latest one, especially with the fact that it costs the same. Enjoy yours :) !

Probably you can send him a pic of mine to show him instead of linking him here, most likely they won't have the time to go through the link you show them. Hope you will get one that you love.

Hi Guy's,

I have a PAM359 "N" series with the ST2555 movement and just love it. So much so, I ordered another one! The QC pics arrived for the second watch and it is an "O" series. What concerned me is the serial# is 2164/4000. My first watch was 1635/3000. My question is? Did the "O" series have 4000 made? When I look at genuine "O" series 359 Panerai's, they say ****/3000. Is this a mistake on the "O" series Rep's? They are both supposed to be from KW and with the ST25555 I would say they are. So? Why are they different and should I refuse the 2nd watch? THANKS

Marchar

You mean the one in my signature?? I actually got that one in a member to member deal, and sold it recently with the same watch. Kinda wish i sold it on rubber as i miss that strap. It had the perfect vintage patina to it. Its just a vintage dark brown rep asso strap for deployant, i am sure there are many floating around here. It was a great strap though

This gen caseback of an O-series shows 3000 made, the same quantity as M and N series.

Thanks for the confirmation.... I'm having a different watch with correct serial # sent. The PAM359 is an awesome rep for those interested. Just look hard at those QC photo's to make sure you're getting the right one!
