Pam 359 KW V?

Hi all, been away for almost a year and just came back recently with my 1st purchase of 2015 from Sora. Always wanted a Pam 359 but all those previous version have put me off with their movement, decide to go for a Pam 359 since it is really a well made rep from KW.

Got my QC photos today and have already accept it. Something that i have notice is the difference of the movement from the previous KW V2 ST2555 movement that i have seen so decide to share.

Interesting, the movement looks inverted. St2555 would have the Balance wheel at 6 which your model does have. But the movement itself appears to be inverted, which actually makes it slightly closer to gen when you compare it to the gen movement take a look at the bridges. No idea what they did but seems like a minor improvement if you ask me.

In any case, congrats on the purchase Carlton. you will love the 359

The balance cock, the engraving on the movement bridge is more gen like now compare to the previous one..... Guess it's the right time for me to be back.....

I have the V1 with Decorated A7750 (no complaints on my end) but your movement looks great.

I think this could be a new version of ST2555 where they installed an inverted balance cock and fixed the direction of engravings, just like they did with the latest decorated a7750.
Very interesting, and one more reason to prefer the seagull versions imho.

Thanks mate. Yeah i believe this is a latest version of the movement too because i actually got my 1st set of QC photos last week that is an "O" series fitted with a V2 movement. I accepted it but Sora tell me that there is some problem with the watch and he would change another one for me, guess i'm lucky........ :lol:

I think KW just started to use this latest ST2555 movement as my 1st set of QC photos that i got shows that it is fitted with V2 movement. 100% agree that with this movement, the whole watch is really very gen like and i guess it can almost get the super rep status...:woot:

I think you are talking about the one that is made by ZF V2 with A7750 movement, mine is a KW V(2?) fitted with ST2555 Seagull movement.

Get the one that you like more first because i believe after that you wil still go for the other one...... :lol:

Wow looks amazing... The non inverted inscriptions makes the whole watch more Gen like indeed!

But don't forget it is not a real clone movement. The balance wheel is not @7 and there are a lot of false things in those decorated movements

Yeah, that's true. But for me base on my QC photos, the watch look real close, feel happy and grateful that they have come so far to make something that i would never have thought of 2 years ago......

Yes, I agree

Bear in mind that many of the current reps with decorated movements and, therefore, evaluated as First Class rep are better, leaving aside movement than old super reps with closed caseback.
KW PAM 312-359-388 even PAM 505 have more gen-like appearance than the old Super reps of PAM 005 or 000
This matter is important to be considered when we are purchasing these modern reps following evaluations.

I'm not sure which version of V2 movement you got but compare from mine to the previous V2 movement, there are quite a bit of different in terms of engraving on the movement which is now more like a gen one in the same direction and also the balance cock is also in the same direction and position of the gen.

Honestly i prefer the Seagull movement over A7750 movement as i feel that the Seagull movement is more robust and really a workhorse movement. Didn't dissappoint me, first full wind and the PR ran out after almost 52 hours and the accuracy of the time is very good.
