I had previously been searching for this model back when Andrew (Trusty) had 3 to choose from. I didn't know what to look for re: the skinny numerals and the other things you guys can spot.
Now I've got this local guy claiming he has a real one from a Boutique and is hocking it to my best man. Can you guys advise if these are the only serials out there for the 253?
I don't know if it's a wise idea to get a mineral crystal, thats know to break, AR coated.
It might be a waist or time and money imho.
No offense intended, but I'm pretty sure these are all Mineral crystals.
The same crystals that come in the Mini Fiddy and have been known to crack open and fall off.
and if their not then I would love to buy one to pop into my Miny Fiddy that uses the same case, just no chrono pushers.

My rep has the I226/500 serial. I think all reps have that, except maybe the newer ones or something... if your local guy has one with those serials, it's probably a rep. Also search for one of my posts where I compared the movements of the original 253 to a re 253 with the asian 7750 movement, it's quite easy to tell. Don't get yourself scammed, please.
