Ohh Ohh! A 253. Nice. I almost got one of these. The blue always seemed off and the numbers were too skinny. If they've got a 3rd generation it may still happen for me.

You are all aware that this version that you consider to be the best 253 rep has an asian movement and not swiss right? For my money, swiss movement is always superior, all things considered.

I have the 253 with skinny numbers, and 28.8. Runs absolutely great, keeps perfect time. The numbers look when it's not sitting next to my 212 that has the fatter numbers.

7750...28.8...........I have 4 now..........they all run great, and keep good time. IMHO, It's not worth paying double the price for a swiss movement.

Guys -

I bought mine back several months ago and never posted because i just bought into a bad deal.

I bought the watch fom somebody who appeared to be rated well, but the watch turned out to be a real bust.

Day #1 - an hour after i opend package ,one of the pins fell out

hour #1 - the watch locked into a fixed position, could not reset

Day#2 - watch smith fixed bent chrono hand.

Day#3 - watch will not run an hour without shaking wrist

I have now had the watch for several months have no clue what to do.

the seller claimed he would make right, but would not pay for repair or take back.

so i made a bad deal.

I dont know how to post pictures or i would post for everybodys review.

option :

try to get a repair from Ziggy ( the only one that will touch that movement ) and has the knowledge to fix it.

you will not be able to get some of his time since he is slammed with work and does not accept new clients.

if at all fixable...it will cost you min. 320 $ with shipping, etc.

understand now why I never ever touch an asian 7750 ?

try to get your money back from the seller.....

I guess i figured it out, give me the feedback?

I already learned my lesson.

The seller has blown me off.

He wanted me to go and get several quotes in writting and send to him. Finding a watch shop who repair a rep is not something easy, then to get written quotes?

I received my PAM253 one week ago from Josh and the only blemishes are the crown guard lever is floppy plus it gains almost exactly 30 seconds a day. Other than that, it's a good entry rep I'd say, worked for me.

Btw, is there anyhting dangerous about me pulling the crown out a bit to fixate the lever that way? If I push it in as far as possible after setting the time, the lever will flap about non-stop, so I carefully pull it out half a milimetre or so.

That's messed up. I wouldn't have expected that.

To tell the truth, I have the same model with the thin numbers and in most of my pics, with or without flash, the numbers appear to be much fatter.
