I have the 212 (simpler model with the 1950 case) and love it. What I've wondered is if there is a chance to swap the movement with a Swiss 7750 no date, but the bicompax config is difficult to find.

Great pic review!

Thanks for all the information. I think it's good enough for me. I'm searching for a deal on 332.

England, Shropshire.
I'm not one who subscribes to the 'super rep' camp.

I have been collecting high value watches for many years, and reps for a few, and I have yet to be asked by an 'expert' to take my watch off, and let them inspect the movement, nor would I be daft enough to flout the watch in front of somebody I know is an expert.

The movement, therefore, is not the important part of the watch to me, save that it works correctly, and accurately. More important is the look of the watch in the round. If it looks 'right' that's all that matters to me. I won't be inspecting the dial with a loupe, and I wont lose any sleep if the font is millimetrically incorrect. Who are we trying to kid?? To whom are we trying to prove the authenticity of the watch??

Let's just enjoy the watches. None but us will have any clue that our watch is genuine. 99.9% of Joe public won't even know what it is we are wearing!!

If you have to ask, then it's pointless to explain netiquette to you.
If you didn't get why I bumped it, then it's worth explaining (not only to you of course).

The guy made an extremely good point regarding a crucial aspect of rep collectioning, and I thought that it was worth that new members of the forum like me that were not here one year ago could benefit from that.

Imho that's the point of having and using the search function..

I don't get it because it's a topic that has been discussed ad infinitum ad nauseam. In fact, there is a sticky thread titled "Noob to Noob: welcome and getting to know the rep culture..." which echoes that very sentiment. This is the PAM253 photo review thread first and foremost. Your post after one year does not add to the discussion, maybe a month or two, sure, but a year? Yeah, the search function is great, if you use it properly. In fact there is a current topic titled "Called Out Wearing a Rep?" Your "Amen" comment might have been appropriate there and you would not be necroposting.

Ok, we have different point of view and that's it for me, let's finish with this quite sterile controversy cause we are annoying other people. If you want write me in PM.

Before all this I was going to share with you the combo I think it is one of the best if not the best of this watch:

They do not have a physical store as far as I can tell, although if you are in Italy, they can deliver to your address C.O.D. :)

Anyone who still has one of these interested in moving on from it? Have had mine for 6 years and dropped it and can’t get parts for it. Would love to get another. If not have to go gen and they are crazy expensive right now.
