Good choice, Sean...it's an Asian 7750 but one to boot, old-school for sure.

Of all the 196 reps shown in this thread, the one to qualify as the best and true old-school with ETA7753 is the one shown above by 'wisrep2010'. Ver 1 case with lower and narrower profile bezel, correct dial without sunken subdials, and the cardinal numerals of correct thickness and font. One of the drawbacks is the droopy horizontal bar on letter A and few other minor issues but that's pretty much it.

Wisrep, not surewho did you end up selling yours, but that surely looks like the one I bought from Hooligan in '08...? Hmmm...

Actually not much at all. It should definitely benefit from a nicer crown (keep an eye on oncoming spring-loaded auto crowns by a member 'T' on RWG).

The CG pin could also be flattened and polished, but that's about all. I'd leave the lume as is (in case it's factory lume), if I were you.

I've since fixed the CG pin and upgraded the DW to Lello's, though.

long story short - had a couple of gen Panerai's and finally realized that they are not the end all be all for me - I have since upgraded quite a bit with some gen AP's, IWC's, Rolex, Hublot, etc.

Recently I realized though that I can't continue to buy gens and than sell them if I figure out I don't like 'em anymore...too expensive

That's my main reason for buying reps these days - test driving them and than deciding if I want the gen :

@babola hey b i didnt quite understand what you meant about the lume. i thought it would have been high up on the list of does to superlume. ill definatley look into a new crown and also mod tghe pin.

No probs mate, some of the factory lume is pretty good out-of-box. But yeah, if you're after a glow-in-the-dark light saber...by all means go for it mate!

Yes, I believe lovepanerai's/my/babola's watch was relumed by Ziggy. Lume was quite strong, but nothing compared to sandwich dials - which stands to reason if you compare the amount of lume.

I agree with b, go for it.
