Here is what I know about the rep 187G with A7753. I am very familiar with this watch. It is built like a tank. You will feel the quality of the case just from the weight alone. The only area of the case that is suspect is the date change screw on the case at the 10 o'clock position. It can easily be damaged from too much pressure when tightening.
I still love this watch!
