I don't shoot macro, dug out my old panasonic GF1, got very frustrated with the 'comprehensive' and very confusing menu, coupled with the totl lack of control so stuck my lovely old 75mm on my manual camera that I can understand.
I might try and take some with a tripod and see how I get on, not a macro lens but 0.7m is the closest focus, at f2 it's still a rather shallow DOF, I might see if there is enough light indoors for F4 to increase the DOF, I might also try some at f1.4 which at 0.7m will be very shallow indeed. This was handheld at 1/60th
