Well, we had a thread about the 177, might as well get all of the HWF's that just came out. This is the 177 but with less clutter: they left the seconds hand off. From what I read, this is a Perfect Clones exclusive, although I honestly don't know if that's a real thing in the rep world or just some TD BS.

Regardless, it's a nice replica. I'm certain some knowledgeable people will show me that I've gone horribly wrong with my purchase! But as far as boat anchors on the wrist go, this is pretty solid. Pics are from my iPhone, so nothing crazy, and it's a worn watch so there may be a smoodge or ding that wasn't present when new. Strap is from Panatime since I have stupid big wrists at 21cm and every factory watch band is rubbish. Also, HWF's had sharp edges on the buckle.

Anyway, I'd say that the lume is good but not up to VSF's standard. Also, as can be expected, the swan neck spring is for display only and doesn't engage the screw. The blueing is consistent and deep, movement _looks_ clean under a 10x loupe. Bands are screw-in and there's what seems to be a functioning roller on the CG.

Enjoy.

(uhh... that thing next to the crown is a hair, not a blemish)

I'm sorry to disappoint you. I bought the same model from Josh and it is really great ;-)
Congratulations. I also have no idea where he got the HFac models, but by now I have three different ones and at least I can't see any difference to the old HFac models. However, my 176 arrived very badly oiled. But any watchmaker can touch it up without any problems. If winding feels a little "sandy" to you, I can only recommend it.
In any case, enjoy your watch. It's a great model and a really good rep. I wear it with the rubber strap, which really shows off the light weight and simple style of the 176. And this one is much much better than all HWFs together. So you made everything right ;-)

HF, or H-fac or H Factory, was a mythic factory gone a few years ago. They were producing high level Pam reps (and a few other brands) with amazing gen like specs and are now highly sought after (a few of us are always on the hunt for them !).
They were the old time Noob (when Noob was Noob) competitor and the factory's history ended up quite dramatically.
A few threads are to be found here and there on the forums about that factory's classic productions.
Josh (once again non TD here) has a remaining stock of them.

Confusion may be made regarding the H letter use in HWF, but the build quality is far from H Factory. Still, it's good these days factories like HWF bring back some classic Pam models, hopefully these new factories will upgrade their production to decent levels in a near future.

For HW bettarini it is so. Firstly, titanium was at one time the successor of PVD, for a more "hidden" appearance, secondly, titanium is not the most pleasant metal to handle, and polishing it to a mirror is not so convenient, especially since with such a finish, it loses its individuality. Finally, at the same time, it is scratched a little easier than steel, so it is better to leave parts of it satin. The only exceptions are on tanktal models with titanium parts. As on HW bettarini, even from steel, from polished CG switched to satin, because, when winding they always rub with hands, leaving marks, so on HW models they switched to satin, around 2005, and on AW bettarini they left polished parts. At the same time, there are also completely satin steel bettarini models, but this is rather an exception to the general rule.

This photo is all correct. What did you expect to see here polished?

No, I’m not questioning the rep or the picture, I just genuinely didn’t know this model has a brushed case. I just assumed that it was the Ti that made it that cool dull color.
