If you want a Fiddy my friend, I'm afraid you are going to have to go to IOffer.com. Try KHK Trading or PrestigeWatchCo.. Both have it with Asian e movement, swan neck with a pretty good case for @ $280.00 delivered. I bought one just for the E Movement. The movement was very good quality and so was the case. You'll need to buy a DSN crystal and get the mods with Vac, but if you do you will have a very good "Fiddy".

When I got my "ultimate" Davidsen fiddy two years ago, he made it with the 'H' movement that is used in the 217 destro. It is not he correct 'E' movment that is in the fiddy, however it is a damn fine movement, as Babola can verify. People are such sticklers for exact accuracy, and I can say it matters none to me, as it is my favorite next to my HBB and I am fairly certain Davidsen will make this version for you if it is acceptable to you. Here is the movment in my fiddy..

Nowadays, nobody makes an accurate Fiddy. DSN and Angus are out of stock and have been for months. TWP has gone AWOL, and nobody else sells the most accurate version. At this point, I would recommend the loaded 217 from Angus, if you can deal with the destro. If not, wait and see if somebody gets them in stock.

If you can't wait, then buy the Ultimate Version from Trusty or Josh and send it to Vac for Lume, Pin, and CG work. However, this option runs about $600. Your choice, hope this helps.

i thought DSN had the better sapphires and CG's on his 217, is this true?

Thanks TL, I'll send an email to Angus to see what's the situation and to request that if they come back in stock to let me know, God... I just HAD to wait until now to get a fiddy... I was actually buying one from DSN a few months ago until a bad review spooked me off the deal. :(

guana, I have a Swiss E series DSN movement hiding behind the closed case back of my 010D. I'm thinking of swapping it out with an undecorated Swiss 6497 from Ofrei. You could then just order the case/dial/hands from DSN......

Contacted Davidsen, told me he doesn't make the 127 anymore because of the swan neck thing, or shortage... damn. Now where the heck am I supposed to get the best one?! :(

Try Davidson again....He said he located some new movements..

H movements only! 127 needs an E

The fiddy does not 'need' an E movement. As mentioned, I have an H in mine and it works superbly.

Once upon a time, TWP was doing 10 SE 127''s with bells a whistles, non exploding etc. I know he is not as social as he once was but contact him and see if he has one in the wine cellar.

The Trusty 127 is indeed a good one, it only has the canion pin issue that is the biggest cosmetic tell when looking at the face.

Chero,

Get instead a 217 from DSN. He just announced new stock of Swiss H swan necks. You can't go wrong with that one.

Salud!

My advice is to get a cheap one!!...You probably won't wear it very much, and ABSOLUTELY nobody has ever seen a real one to be able to "call you out" on it...
IMG_6862.jpg

I've got a total of $54.00 invested in this one...(Traded a $50.00 watch for it, and spent $4.00 for an acrylic crystal to replace the original one that self destructed, as so many do!!)
I have 8.5" "gorilla" wrists, and even I find it too big to wear very often, so I'd really be pi$$ed off if I blew $300+ for it!!
