Recently purchased my first Pam rep 111 V4 ( its beautiful). Power reserve is supposed to be 40 hours from my understanding. I have to manually wind this watch constantly for it to continue moving. Storing it overnight in a auto watch box does not help, it will be dead in the morning. Even if I wear it all night it will still quit moving. Any suggestions? How often do members here need to wind their 111's

hmm...do you wind it fully? You should be able to wind it until you can't...I have the kw version bu they simply use the same movement (a6497)...I get a whopping 55 to 58 hours from a full wind (never got less than 48)

111 is manual only, so the winding watch box won't help at all! Wind it till you can't anymore and you should be able to get around 40 hours.

Your other watches likely have automatic movements; they wind when you wear them or put them on a watch winder. The movement in your 111 is a manual hand-wind movement; it does not wind when you wear it and putting in on a winder does nothing except spin the watch around and around. :) Wind it until it stops winding and it should last 40+ hours.

Ditto. I get a solid 55+ hours out of mine. But mine is serviced as well.

All manual wind PAMs that use the A6497 movement can only store a power reserve of an average of 56 hours because it's basically the same as the ETA movement used in the gen and that's how long the gen movement can run without stopping.

Wind it to the max, 48-56 hours depending. Mine takes 70-80 winds and you do feel the resistance as you wind near to the limit!

My last x2 PAM111 v4's had very low reserve. A friend of mine also reported very low reserve on his v4. Problem fixed after service.

You should buy a better auto winder that can wind manual winding watches.

Am i missing something? There have been plenty of members complaining of very low reserve on the latest 111v4 batch.....and I ain't talking about noobs who don't know about manual wind vs auto.

@mech500
I'm laughing about the "my auto watch winder doesn't wind my manual movement" part of the thread :p

I seem to have missed that. How many have complained so far? Are they true V4 or mixed V3/V4s?

All I know is that quite a few people have complained about very low reserve on the 111 watches received from TDs this past 3-4months (current batch of so called "v4").

This year, I personally had x2 so called "v4" with very very low reserve.

Another member PM'd me with the same low reserve issue and said that he had another 111 with low reserve.

And now OP is complaining about low reserve on his watch. I'm sure there is a thread elsewhere where somebody also asks about low reserve on 111.

Of course it might just be coincidental data or we don't know how to use manual wind watches heheheh
