PAM 055 photoshoot :)

Hi guys,

Yesterday I received the 055 dialset from Rolli and it is (again) a s-p-e-c-t-a-c-u-l-a-r dial, the color, the shine, the finish; it all just looks wunderfull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The tobacco color goes so well with the titanium and the combination with the butterscotch strap gives it a beautifull vintage feel, while being contemporary

This was one of my easiest "builds" because all parts were sort of ready to go these are the parts used:

Parts:

Trustytime 061 H-Fact PAM

Rolli/FGD 055 dial set

(temporary) noob saphire

gen butterscotch PAM strap

Mods:

no mods apart from polishing the cannon pinion and mildly cleaning all the case parts (and swapping the dial, hands and saphire)

So this puts a smile on my face and I want to build the exact same watch, Couple of noob questions

This thing makes me fall back in love with panerai. The dial simply looks genuine. The filled lume stamped indices and the slightly glossy edges are pure amazingness! Well done

Love everything about it except the crystal. Why, oh Why do the Reps have such cloudy appearing crystals!

My Gen 24 is Crystal Clear, to use a pun to good effect. None of this foggy look at different angles.

Picked up a ZF factory 386 recently, and the crystal rivals a Gen. Truly spectacular!
Still wondering if "H" factory crystals are better than Noob, as they were in years past.

Anyone ever try one of the offerings on Evil-bay? (About 109.00 usd. Would be worth it if is is as they claim).
Yes, I know you can send out a crystal for new AR, but if the Sapphire itself is subpar, no amount of AR will fix the low quality of the glass. You can't fix internal bleading with a band-aid! Grrrrrr!!!
