Pam 036 B, what's it worth?

I'm just going through some old reps I don't wear and one of them is an 036 B titanium marina militare.

I've probably owned it for about 10 years, it wasn't cheap at the time but I only wore it for a couple of years max, I just much prefer automatics. I done a bit of reading here and it seems to be quite a rare replica.... if I decide to sell it what do you think would be a fair price?

Thanks

Adjusted for inflation, if you purchased it for $380 (DSN's advertised price) back in 2007, it would cost $452.35 today with a cumulative inflation of 19%.

What is the value of this rep to a collector? I have no idea.

Having been worn frequently, condition will be a huge factor, especially with titanium which scratches easier. Also, movement condition as it's probably about due for a service.

I think the day that reps start ‘appreciating’ in value is the day we might have taken ourselves just a bit too seriously!

I'm not looking to make money or for "appreciation" just I don't know the value and if I'm selling it I'd like to be fair but also not give it away. If I can trade it for an auto model that I'd get more wear out of then that would be ideal.
The crown lever isn't as tight as it should be and will drop about 1mm if held upside down so this will need addressing. Some case marks but this is easy to sort out. Movement seems perfect but a service is always justified on any rep isn't it working perfectly or not?

It is a beautiful watch as manual winding luminors go. I can understand why if it has become a more collectible Pam

That’s absolutely fair enough. I wasn’t questioning your motives at all, just wryly smiling at a future where reps achieved the same collector status as gens....

Yes that's about what I paid. On memory it was just over $400 with shipping. Is there a list of td historic sales prices out there then or do you just have an encyclopaedic memory? :)

1. You can always put up a trade thread for it once you have ascertained the value.
2. Case marks on Titanium cannot be rectified.
3. Agreed, a service is justified on a 10-year old rep whether or not it is working perfectly.

I had no idea titanium marks can't be rectified. I thought they could just easily be brushed out. Maybe this will effect value then

I've been recommended to service my ap reps upon delivery straight from td even if 100% working fine so I didn't think this was age is related, more if you thought that a particular rep is 100% keeper rather c&r

Thanks for the info :)

I don't have an active photobucket account, I will set one up when I'm ready to advertise it and others on m2m

I'm guessing that it's got a 6497 in it which is a solid workhorse movement. If it keeps time well and has a good power reserve of about 40 hours then no reason to service it.

I have no idea what movement is in it. I'm not very clued up about reps as you might have guessed[emoji23]

Photobucket doesn't work anymore. Use imgur or pixlsbin
