It's even said on the descriptions of some dealers "notch at 5 for removing the bezel"... ;)

so this is a "rep only" thing? i've checked 2 of my 44mm pam, and couldn't find the notch.

Right guys, I finally got it sorted! On the 4th attempt at finding a watchsmith I found one that seemed quite against the idea of even having a look at it, but after talking to him a bit he said he'd have a look. He said that tearing the watch apart peice by peice was not an option, but that he'd look at it and see. Thankfully for me it was only a loose screw and he fixed it within 5 minutes.

So happy right now!
