"Fakes are not welcome here.

Don't you have your own forum for this kind of thing? I'm sure it will be more appreciated there."

Go see what I posted on the Brand 9 forum-

Remember Klinky dear boy-

Lots of folks wound up here after being scammed by one of those "Swiss" sites- so when a dealer starts off with borrowed images, borrowed descriptions and a claim to run their business in a manner that completely flies in the face of what all "know" to be the realities of this business- allow me to be skeptical. I think given the nature of this endeavor everyone should always be skeptical- and then when a dealer proves themselves to be trustworthy they become "Golden" the way josh and Andrew are spoken of around here.

Hey it's not like they're the only game in town- plenty of dealers and plenty of watches to go around.

And as I said to Kevin in another thread- if they prove to be cool I'll be a great customer of theirs.

I'll put my money where my mouth is and place an order- just as I have with practically every dealer on here- Some fast, some slow- some nice, some rude- you know how it goes...

Since I'm USA based having a USA based dealer- even if it's only one guy but someone who can handle mistakes and service locally DOES seem too good to be true- but then again the whole idea of $200 eplicas that could fool an AD seemed too good to be true to me just a few months ago...

Enzo- Just goes to show you that even a basic Pam copy fools 99.9% of the people- even Paneristi-

I told a real Paneristi, a father of one of my son's friends that my Davidsen 2533 vintage was a $2500 Swiss made "homage" and he BEGGED me to get one for him...but I just keep tit quiet cause I know he'd blab it all over the various forums.

You'd be surprised- I walked into a very well known non_AD but big time PAM reseller- with A 111 copy on my arm- They looked real close at the watch, nodded in agreement (A genuine Panerai- potential customer) then showed me a 183G, 088 and 024 submersible from the display case, all while my $250 rep sat on the counter.

I went to the same dealer a few days later and purchased a 111G that they had listed ontheir website- They gave me a great deal- but after he ran my credit card the dealer asked me- "What do you want another one for??(He remembered me!)- "Mines and H" i told him, I wanted the G movement.

Walked in there a few days later with the rep on my arm- "How are you liking the watch?" He asked- "Loving it!" I told him.

So yes when a photo is posted and sits there for hours on the internet it's open to scrutiny, but if you wear a good rep on a great strap it's a damned fine watch.

So playing with fire I guess- but isn't that the fun of it??

I am confused about the general response ... unless their idea of savage wit is to complement the guy?

In the first couple of responses someone notes the URL to BESTSWISS showing his Photos on catalogue, yet the next X number of people tell him what a nice watch he has ... he comes backs with thanks and posts another BESTSWISS image.

Got to say I am not impressed with the TimeZone crowd.

My take on this is that, our reps are getting to be so good that even WIS's can't tell it apart from the gen, at least not in pictures, and at least not pictures of the face of the watch. :)

But the guy who posted it in the first place was really asking for trouble because why post it there
in the first place? What a Maroon. :x
