Ok, I'm super excited!!! Just ordered a Pam 111 from timeshops. Read some reviews and decided to go there. Please tell me if I made a bad decision as this won't be my last per that i'm looking to buy. I just don't have the time to read for weeks!!!! So many great reviews and members here. Glad I found this site!

I've owned a few gens including a few rolexes and breitlings but times are hard and I still need to fullfill my craving. So stoked!!!!

Let me know if there's anything else I need to do after I get it. I also ordered a black strap with the deployment buckle from another site. I'll post photos when I get it and all goes well. HOPEFULLY!!!!!

Bad decision. Huge mistake! We have said this over and over again and still the same mistakes are done: Do NOT start buying reps! Jebus, how hard can it be? Do NOT start buying reps! You simply must look at this forum as an AA meeting where we all are showing you the reps to stay away from in order not to get hooked.

Ok, it's obviously too late anyway so you may just as well enjoy the ride. And you seem to know the drill already; your PAM needs new shoes. Oh, and one more thing. Post pics! (To keep others from making the same mistake...) :D

You could always add a bracelet to the list - a good 111h looks awesome on a bracelet...
111_bclt.JPG

Mind you, looks good on BOB gator too:

An then you start thinking about gen rubber... or ammo... or Gunny Caitlin...

So you buy a few to give yourself some variety. Then you find that you have 8 straps for every Panerai you own, so you have to buy more watches. Which leads to yet more straps...

AAAAAAAARGH!

That bracelet looks good!!!! The scary part is I'm already wanting another and I didn't even get the first one in yet. This sucks! LOL! I have such an addictive personality to so it's scary!

I really liked the 111 a lot. What other Pams do you think is a must have. I was thinking about the 50 next but I think that's going to be too big on my wrist.

PS. Those photos look SWEET!!!!!!!

First you need to really get comfortable with that PAM111. I don't know what extra strap you bought for it. Panatime are definitely ok deal for the buck, but if you have the money I suggest a really thick nice one from Strap Culture or something of the like. (The bracelet is nice but I really don't like it on the PAM111. Not sure why.)

Anyway. Next you will need to get a chrono. I like the PAM253. I have a carbon fibre strap for it also, but my wife says the rubber strap is nicer so that is what gets the wrist time.

You may consider Ferrari by Panerai. The FER0008 is very nice and probably one of the best reps out of the box you can get.

Ok, then you have to have a white dial PAM. Hmmm... Davidsens PAM113 is really nice. (Pic from DSN archive)

I actually prefer Davidsens PAM055 white dial, and I will probably order that one instead of the PAM113. (Pic from DSN archive)

I have this PAM233 8day white dial that was a good deal from T4D. The white dial on this one is fantasy, but still very nice and wears well.

We must not forget the really big stuff. How about a Big Egizano? (Pic from DSN archve, but make a search and get some nice pics by Hambone.)

What about a bit of a "vintagizing" project? A Rolex dial Radiomir case?

Ok, I think that would be enough to start you off with. There are few more PAMs you simple MUST have, and then we move on to Omega. :D

I think my brain is about to explode! LOL!

I really like the 253. Though I do want a white dial next so the 55 may be it. I ordered the 111 from timeshops. Who is davidson? Sorry for such a noob question but I'm lost. Didn't see a davidson in the dealer list. I must be blind???

Lot's of great ideas. I'm drooling! I really need to get my work done and stop browsing this site!!! LOL! Thanks again!

Yep, probably. DSN = Davidsen. The king of PAM. Prices may seem high, but once you've taken a look at the finish, those crowns and lume you are in it deep. Will not accept PayPal. Has had some problems with quality control lately?

The white dial PAM055 is simply beautiful! I am totally in love with that one. But take note, the PAM055 comes with a brown dial. The white dial may be fantasy, read this thread for more info: viewtopic.php?f=40&t=15790 (Note that the thread is 2 years old.)

Oh, and I told you NOT to start buying reps! See what happens?

Congrats on the 111, when you say timeshops, I'm assumign you ordered it from http://www.timeshops.net

I was thinking of ordering this one as a dressy watch to have to wear with my business clothes/suits.

http://www.timeshops.net/PA6109_-_Paner ... 6-3315.htm

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it says "swiss" made near the 6 like the real thing does:

http://www.timeimports.com/designer-wat ... 7p1943.htm

What was the coupon code for timeshops that you used?

The code is on the homepage. usa20 I think. It's $20 off. I went with the more expensive one. Doing more research though, Davidson seems to have some great deals. You will be paying more than the $108 though. Spend the extra and get a good rep that will last...

So the watch came in today. That was super fast as I ordered it on the 4th. Didn't expect to get it that quickly. Really awesome but a couple of problems. If these are easy fixes then no big deal. Please share your thoughts... You guys are super knowlegable...

1. The lever thing is super loose. Sorry I don't know the exact terminology. The lever by the crown. I can't really wear the watch cause that thing flaps away!!!!!

2. There is a screw loose inside the movement.

That's all I can see. Other than that it's pretty damn cool for a rep.
