So the breitling Abyss is a asian clone but the Omea PloProf is actually the Swiss ETA. Ok, i will let puretime know.

No the last two pics you posted are of a 26J Swiss Stellita movement. Its a good movement so don't worry about that one. The Stellita 26J movement is used in many Swiss watches.

From my experience with Angus/Puretime, he will not ever replace or refund a faulty watch, my PAM326 stopped working after a few days (date change mech) and he only offered a repair, not entire watch replacement :(

In the end he agreed to swap out the movement/dial with a new one back into the PAM326 I sent him, but the new QC pics I received on the swap job were poor. Like cast off QC reject parts, marked hands/dial not good......

It is the reason why I will now seriously consider never buying from him again. King however has directly cross shipped replacements for faulty watches, now there is a world of difference in service....

I recommend the forum moderators make their TD list a lot smaller than it is..........when a TD sells a watch, I like when I know they are backing a product being sold to a customer & it is half what makes the TD worth buying from.

O really, let's hear the secret origins of these reps. I'm sure the op wants to know how a clone eta got in there.

Pfffff.... Boring. Short stories are best stories.

My two cents.

It's threads like this teardown from last year that add to the Swiss discussion:
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/swiss-2836-teardown-71780

There is also this one from a few days ago, where the consensus seemed to say that buying Swiss is a waste of money:
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/swiss-movementi-105304?t=105304

Or there is the Sticky one:
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/swiss-eta-asian-87509

The bottom line is, that it seems like the reps are getting better, but I guess the story always comes down to the dealer you're buying from. The dealers also seem to be getting better, or perhaps it's the factories ensuring that the proper movement is fitted.... Whichever it is, things have been improving for the hobby.

I would just handle this locally.

Forget customs, shipping, etc. It's a pain. Local watchsmith will be faster and safer.

As a matter of fact, I do.

Why not share the info with us?

Not very happy with the direction this thread has gone, at least some of you should know better.

It's commonly understood that buying clone ETA is the best course of action as the movements can either be serviced or replaced with genuine counterparts down the line if and when the time comes. The thought has been (so I thought..) that buying swiss from TD's is a bit of a crap shoot, and this thread just go's to show that is still true, and from a high traffic dealer no less.

Now If i've got it all backwards after how many years around here, how can we expect a brand new member to have it all correct? Anyway, i'm going to probably regret that I got involved in this, but what's done is done.

better pics. Everything inside of the red circle tells a story.

What?? Something you don't know?? Now that's a first!

Sorry, couldn't resist. Really moving on this time.

I call a bluff. sounds like you just don't know that VERY important piece of inform, had nothing else to say and just wanted to "win" for the sake of winning.

It's okay not to know and admit you don't know. I admitted i didn't know a lot of things already (where the Swiss movements from rep factories come from). If you do know, i would LOVE to be enlightened by the grand master watch smith with all the dark trade secrets of how to get all these ETAs when swatch cracked down and shortened the list of trusted buyers in 2007. It's actually a very interesting topic to find out how they get them.

As for the movement issue, it's stuff i've been picking up from different topics and boards.

I know you sit on the opposite side of the spectrum but there's also others that think a properly serviced asian can be just as good as a swiss. There's a whole can of worms and discussion about this but there's a whole thread on that. Let's just keep the topic on track and help this guy fix his watch.

Afterall, you wanted this discussion in the first place.

You said i was uneducated and had false knowledge, it's your time to shine with all that insider knowledge to bestow upon us, common people. I am all accepting to hear the Wiz speak out and tell me why I am wrong on so many levels.

I agree totally.

goonx, do you realise who your arguing with??:lol1:

I debate against logic and facts. Not the man. Unfortunately, all i've been seeing are funny pictures like these :biglaugh::stir: and lot of mockery. Not a very good quality debate.

Something to think about:
There once was a man who defied the powerful roman catholic church and the Pope, they said he was spreading false claims.

They wanted to silence him so they threw him in jail. His name was Galileo.

 i'm waiting too. it's going to be a good story if it ever comes.

Here is better pic of the movement, please tell me its a swiss.

Zarama, the movement looks pretty crisp. But there are signs that it's been opened before - tool marks on the screws. I wouldn't bet on that it's new but if it runs good then great. Send it in for a service so the WS can they think you've been getting all these great swiss movements in your order.

Agree completely. Looks like a Swiss ETA which has been worked on for some reason.

And, for what it's worth - I'm certainly no expert on watches, reps, or movements. But based on what I've observed here for the past 4 years I don't waste money ordering a "Swiss" ETA movement. Too many times I've seen clones sold by TDs as Swiss, and I've seen the pics of crappy old dirty Swiss movements.
