would have easily said single to avoid scratches but after seeing the ar on a newly acquired po, id say its a tough call. i got complemented on the watch cause they thought there was no crystal on it.

so if its really good double ar and maybe a watch you dont plan to wear every day, go for double ar. if its a daily watch that you want to have in good condition, go with single. anyone who thinks you will be able to avoid scratching it, trust me, it can happen very easily doing every day things.

for long time , i have seen threads about how to remove the AR coating , even i started a thread about it , couse i have a 104 and taka did an AR job , it is scratch all over, i can not even wear it couse it makes me sick!!!!! many of you know the feeling ! when you love watches , a little scratch is a passion killer!! anyways i have tried everything! to remove the outside AR , i used polish cream , i used thinner , alcohol and many other shit , nothing worked!
goin told me that the only way to remove the ar is to use sand paper and very carefully sand the crystal , or at least that is what i remember

I give up, maybe some paste for polishing a car? Just an idea :) I heard some opinion here that Capecod can damage the AR

Not to hijack this thread but does anyone know if AR technique can be used on car headlamp lenses?

I just took ownership of an awesome 2012 Black Cayenne with blackout option INSIDE the headlamp housing (so only the cool projector lamps show) but the reflective surface of the external curved headlamp lens means that this awesome (IMO) option is less visible in all but the most favorable lighting conditions.

Can it be applied by a reasonably skilled person. Is it a black magic art only to be practiced by the masters such as Vac?

Thanks,
Mark
