Just wanted to see what the general feel is for AR on your pams..

I have a 005 with double AR from the noob factory which I think is absolutely stunning.

I have a 390 with single AR (per genuine) - but I just don't think it is as effective? I have problems with fingerprints etc on this watch too.. Anybody else?

I'm thinking of getting double AR mod on my 390 just to make the gold hands shine!

Double AR is more effective, but more delicate (can be scratched) and not accurate in terms of the gen.

let me tell you something , i love the double AR , but i like wearing my watches ! and you have to be REALLY carefull not to scratch the outside ar , and when it gets scratched i can not sleep anymore , so ......... single AR is my option

Double is better (visually) but as 45acp said, it gets scratched easy.

My 111 has single ar and sometimes i don't like the reflection effect but i prefer it to a scratched one...

I agree with opinions above mentioned

- Visual effect better double AR
- Wearing better single due to external layer can be scratched, and in long time bad visual effect
- Anyway if gen is double: DOUBLE. If gen is single: SINGLE

Never Never Land
Double AR all day every day - if your careful and know when the right and wrong time to wear your watches e.g - Rolex Daytona/Sub in the gym .... ermmmm NO ! then I would take a double AR every time.

In terms of visual impact, double always trumps single AR. But in terms of faithfulness in replication, follow whatever the gen comes with.

Hi guys, just drink some wine and play with my watches. I noticed that Pam111N have a small scratch on the AR. How to fix it? Who can recover AR in EU, or maybe I should just polish the whole AR layer?
Cheers

The AR on the 111N is a single layer on the inside. I don't see how you could polish it unless you removed the crystal.

Sapphire is really scratch-resistant, not scratch proof. Given the right circumstances (force applied, the angle of the force, and in your case, alcohol), you can scratch it. That's probably why third-party sellers have replacement sapphire crystals.

Thanks, I can live with this scratch:) is very small. I will wait with replacment, is a tool watch so Im sure there will be more damages in the future.

Scratches give the watch character. Enjoy your watch. :)

Didnt the first batch of Noob 111N have double AR? (Or was it the last 111M batch?)
Cant remember but I bought 4 of them just for the double AR crystal. To be used on my DLC Panerai's wich are fantasy watches anyway.
The double AR look awesome but are not true to gen as stated before ;)

The last batches of PAM 111 N-series should have one layer of AR, but not the first bacth which can have two layers (As already said by Klockis)

Yes it is possible to scratch the sapphire of a crystal watch. Sapphire has about a hardness of 9 in Mohs scale. This material can be scratched by other sapphire, corundum or diamond.

Yeah my 029 is double and that crystal looks amazing. My 390 is single and it looks ok. 029 is getting more scratched up the more I wear it, although they are micro and hard to notice unless in direct light angle.
