Hello Guys, I´ve recently acquired this james bond REP, the case and watch band looks awesome however when i´ve opened the case in order to check the movement i realized that it does not have any logo nor inscripcion on it. Since I´m getting a little bit of trouble to identify the movement, i need you guys to help me ! thanks a lot!

Movement looks like a very cheap Chinese DG2813.

But take my assessment with a grain of salt. Maybe some of the modder / watch smith cracks can confirm or correct...

PS: I don't think this is the bracelet the watch came with originally. Those are the worst-fitting endlinks I've seen in a while...

Hello and thank you for your reply. The DG2813 was my first option. This watch is 10 years old, it was from a friend of mine. I calibrated the movement and it gains 2 seconds a day, which is quite good for this generic caliber. it is by far more precise than my other NH35 watches.

Goes to show you that precision can be achieved with a $12 movement just as good as with one for $1200.

I think perhaps long-term longevity is where they are apart. But generally speaking, I'm always amazed at how good the Chinese movements have become, even the cheap ones...

In one position, with no shocks or magnetic interference, and a whole lot of luck, perhaps... just perhaps.

Read my statement again... And pay attention to this part where it says '...can be achieved...', instead of 'is equal' or 'is better'!

A poorly adjusted Tourbillon powered watch that runs with -10.0s/d wouldn't perform better than a DG2813 that has been perfectly tweaked to run with +2.0s/d, now would it?

Of course, purely by "natural concept", a movement 100 times more expensive will have to be superior by design...

But my point was just that a cheap movement can also be adjusted to perform well. That's all. If you say that is categorically imossible, then you just haven't seen a well running cheap movement yet.

Well after checking and comparing several pics i reached the conclusion that it has a seagull st6 movement, a very cheap mechanism but it seems that it works ok for the price.

But in all fairness I was really just jesting, I know you weren't equating a $12 movement with a $1,200 movement.

Damn. That was my initial guess... Those Chinese cheapos all look alike, hard to keep them apart if you're not extremely experienced.

It was from a firend of mine, I paid USD 50 for it. it is a 10 years old watch and still running.
