Omega Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial

Just another chiming in saying that I would like to see it with an eta clone. Other than that, it looks good. Yes, I would like to see it a bit smaller; but as there is no mid sized gen it, of course, should be the exact size of the gen.
Dial diameter is only 30,50 mm, watch-diameter from 8 to 2 just 41,00 mm,it´s not as big as it looks. Would prefer it to be thinner with some 12mm instead of the 14,50mm thickness it has. It´s "long" at 49,6mm from the point of one lug to the other, that´s right.

Got mine about a week ago from puretime, here is my novice assessment after handling the gen in an od.

First impression: great looking watch, well made, well finished, actually seems to weigh more than the gen

Major tells:

Bezel: The bezel has a slightly gray sheen to it which makes the markings difficult to read in certain lighting conditions. Has a different feel to it when rotating then the gen, but i think that's expected. Mine was slightly loose but that was fixed by passing a fine wire under it. The metal between the bezel and watch in the gen is polished, the rep is brushed. The metal between the crystal and the bezel is a bit raised over the bezel, the gen is more flush.

Crown: Crown in the gen is polished, i polished mine but that made the engraving stand out a bit less than the gen

The Gen dial has a slightly more porous appearing structure with a slight sheen to in at certain angles. The gen looks more like a recessed dial than a sandwich dial with lighter colored faux aged lume. The faux lume looks more like ti was applied to the recessed dial in the gen, the rep looks more like a separate layer. The Printing on the dial i think is excellent.

Lume: Lume is poor and the colors do not match, the minute and the pearl should be green, the rest blue. On the rep the green is more like a different shade of green

Bracelet: The clasp on the gen has a deeper engraving and overall is a bit larger. The links have a slightly different bevel. My clasp scratched easily and excessively, just from using my laptop... I can only assume that implies the quality of the stainless steel isnt great. The clasp mechanism has a nice feel to it, micro adjustment feature works well.

Movement: I think they did a nice job reping the bridges, the rotor and the overall look. The finishing is pretty good, the most obvious thing is that the balance wheel is at 7-8 oclock, the gen is at 6... Cant blame them.. it's a decorated myota movement. Seconds dont hack btw.

Back: Engravings are accurate, and nice but a bit thicker than on the gen.

sorry if i'm a bit vague about some of the terms, i'm by no means an expert when it comes to watches, only recently have begun collecting. I do have good attention to detail though, so i think my observations are fairly accurate.

Overall, i think this model would really benefit from a 2.0, most of these issues are easily fixable. If they could update the dial texture, lume and some polishing details, this would be an incredible rep, imho.

It took me a while but basically I had 1 side of the metal bracelet halfway up and held it there while I retracted the other side while pushing up at the same time.

How is the paint on the bezel?
Always concerned it will scratch easily as it is just paint on ceramic.

Seems fine so far, been wearing it daily for about 2 weeks. It is a liquidmetal bezel, so should be as good as the bezels on the lmpo's.

Bought an $8.49 polished stainless steel deployment clasp for my 4mm thick vintage leather band:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/13125516891...49&var=430532684651&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
I had a shorter strap ordered since I have a skinny wrist, worked out so I didn't need to use any strap retainers, just the deployment clasp:

Vintage with a modern twist, just like the Omega Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial itself!
If only the lume didn't suck so bad it would be just perfect...

I really like that strap. Mind sharing where you got it?

Thanks,

Ok sent, get the regular length if u do, they leather might be a tad too thick for the deployment, occ. snaps off.
