Hi, im about to dip my toe into the rep world. I own a gen Tag and Oris, plus a couple of nice seiko's and from my early days a bunch of Invictas now gathering dust.

I really like the omega 45.5 planet ocean chrono in silver with black and orange bezel, from my reading so far i beleive only OMF.

Is this the best / only option for this watch ? From the pics i have seen of the omf they dont have the ZR02 etching under the centre of the dial unless i'm mistaken ...

Can anyone advise pls. Would be good to hear from anyone who has this.

I've seen QC photos for both OMF & VSF that includes the etching that indicates ceramic material.

The reddit hivemind seems to be believe that VSF provides a better Planet Omega rep than OMF.

Just to clarify reps are just reps, unless the factory says its actually ceramic the etching is just a clone feature.

Yep thats what ive read also ... VSF>OSF, but the planet ocean being a chrono isnt made by VSF. The VSF omegas i have seen have the etching but i havent seen it or cant make it out on the OSF.

I think if its missing its an very obvious tell that you have a rep.

But dont expect alot from these watches.

They're subpar at best...... especially don't run the chrono

OMF Factory Omega PO Chronographs are the best options. The VSF Factory side only make the non chronograph models of the Planet Oceans, Seamasters etc.

I recently bought a planet ocean master chrono and it was so thick it felt like i was wearing a burger on my wrist. Sold it here for someone to get an absolute bargain and got myself a VSF seamaster, turned up this morning and i absolutely love it

I have the VSF 45.5 PO non chrono and its an amazing watch. I wish VSF made a chrono.

I've been looking at the vsf non chronos on a bracelet but could only see the non chrono's on a strap. Bracelet ones were 43mm only. Is yours bracelet or strap ?

I was looking around for that watch ( john442 's 45mm VSF) - found a VSF 45mm that looks similar that but has orange numbers and a gloss black bezel - couldn't find that combo in GEN version. Is it a made up colour combo or a replica of a GEN Model ?

I have also ordered a OMF 45.5mm black with orange bezel Planet Ocean from Wowwatches - I know they are not a TD but i read the TP reviews and they are based in the UK so I figured I'd try them. Will post pics when i receive it.

Forgot to mention this watch the 45mm VSF was on special for $238 ($270) shipped to me (about 220GBP), plus any customs duties i might get hit for. I paid 400GBP for the orange/black PO
